The Assam TET exam is conducted for lower primary (LP) and upper primary(UP) teachers. Candidates who are willing to join the teaching profession in Assam are required to qualify the Assam TET exam. Candidates are also offered the TET certificate after results are released.

Latest Notification

The Assam Department of Elementary Education shall dispute the official notifications for Assam TET on Assam’s official website. Applicants who are eager to join the teaching profession in Assam are needed to qualify for the Assam TET examination. The Assam TET examination is directed at lower primary and upper primary teachers.

Registration

Applicants can apply for an online application for Assam TET by visiting the official website www.ssa.assam.gov.in. Applicants are needed to fill in credentials, upload a photo, signatures and then pay the fee. The scanned copies must be in the form of JPG or JPEG format.

Step 1: Visit the website www.ssa.assam.gov.in

Step 2: Go through the Instructions.

Step 3: Tap on “Apply Online”.

Step 4: Fill the application form and enter information such as Name, Age, Qualification, and more.

Step 5: Upload scanned photo and Signature.

Step 6: Submit the form.

Step 7: Then login with the Application Number and Password.

Step 8: Make sure the fees are paid.

Step 9: Save and then print the confirmation page.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Assam TET, an applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam, and applicants belonging to any other state are not qualified to apply for the examination. Below mentioned is the Assam TET Eligibility Criteria along with the educational qualifications required in detail:

Post	Educational Qualification
Lower Primary	Senior Secondary at minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education Or, Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education Or, Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education Or, Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education Or, Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks.
Upper Primary	Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education Or, A minimum of 50% grades either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and B. Ed Or, Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education Or, Senior Secondary with minimum of 50% marks and 4-year B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed. Or, Graduation with minimum of 50% grades and 1-year B. Ed.

Assam TET Age Limit

The Applicants shall not be below 21 years of age at the period of getting an appointment in schools over the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test.

Application Fee

Students have to make payments online through Debit cards, Credit Card or internet banking. The application fee for Paper 1 and Paper 2 is according to a different category:

Exam Pattern
