The DSSSB board conducts various state-level recruitment exams for the National territory of Delhi. The exams are conducted to fill the vacancies in various teaching and non-teaching related posts.

The posts filled by these exams include PGT, TGT, assistant teacher (primary and nursery), counsellor, head clerk, patwari etc. In this article, we are going to focus on the DSSSB PGT recruitment 2022.

Latest Notification

The official notification of the DSSSB PGT examination has not been released yet by the authorities. The latest details of the exam dates, exam pattern and syllabus are released on the official website of the DSSSB.

The candidates interested for applying to the DSSSB PGT examination need to check the official website for all the latest updates related to the exam.

Registration

The application form for DSSSB PGT is available on the official website of the DSSB. The application mode is completely online and no other mode of application is accepted. The steps to apply to the DSSSB PGT are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the DSSSB – dsssb.delhi.gov.in
Under the important announcements, section check the link for the online application
Start the registration process by clicking on the new registration.
The registration number and password is received on the email of the candidate.
Login using the credentials and apply for the exam.
Complete the application process and upload all the required documents.
Complete the payment of the application fee.
Save a copy of the application form for future reference.

Syllabus

The DSSSB PGT exam has two tier of examination. Both the tier contains two sections. The section A of both the papers contains general questions and section B consists of post related questions. The syllabus of the DSSSB PGT is as follows:

DSSSB PGT Syllabus Tier-2

The tier 2 of DSSSB PGT exam has two sections.

Section A	Similar to tier-1
Section B	Descriptive questions related to the subject to which the candidate is applying to

Eligibility Criteria

Students should check their eligibility criteria before applying to the posts of the DSSSB PGT. The candidates need to fulfill the educational qualifications, age criteria and the nationality criteria to apply to the exam.

DSSSB PGT Eligibility: Nationality

In order to apply to the exam a student should be an Indian nationality.

DSSSB PGT Eligibility:

Post	Age Limit
PGT	The candidate should be below 36 years of age. Relaxations are provided for contractual teachers upto a maximum of 5 years, provided that they have worked for at least 180 days in a year.
Educational and Vocational Guidance Counselor	Candidate should be below 30 years of age. Relaxation provided for contractual teachers upto a maximum of 5 years given that they have worked at least for 180 days in a year.

The age relaxation provided for different reservation categories are as follows:

DSSSB PGT Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

The educational qualifications for the post are as follows:

PGT	Master’s degree in the subject applying to Degree/ Diploma in training/ Education This can be relaxed in the following cases: Has a PhD degree in the subject from any recognized university Obtained first division till post graduation and will obtain B.ed degree within a period of 3 years of joining the service.
Educational and Vocational Guidance Counselor	Must have a Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized University with Diploma in guidance & counseling from a recognized University.

Application Fee

The applicants of the DSSSB PGT have to pay an application fees to complete the registration process. The application fee for various categories is as follows:

Exam Pattern

two sections. The first tier of the exam is used for shortlisting candidates. The selection is done on the marks obtained in tier-ii only.

DSSSB PGT Tier-1 Pattern

The tier-1 exam is of 3 hours and consists of 300 questions. For each correct answer, a +1 mark is awarded and for a wrong answer -0.25.

DSSSB PGT Tier-II Pattern

The tier-ii of the DSSSB PGT exam also consists of 2 sections and is of 3 hours duration. Section A of this paper is similar to tier-I of the exam. However, in section B the questions are of descriptive type and are based on the subject to which the candidates are applying.
