The National Thermal Power Corporation Limited is a public sector company for electricity generation, sales and allied activities. Popularly known as NTPC will soon be announcing vacancies for the diploma trainee recruitment 2022. The candidates who are eligible for this profile must not be more than 27 years of age and must be a citizen of India. They should have completed at least a diploma in any relevant subject in the field of engineering with at least 70% marks in aggregate. The candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the 2 stages of the selection process.

The NTPC Diploma Trainee Notification is yet to be released for 2022. The last available update was the release of the NTPC Diploma Trainee admit card for the 2nd Phase exam in 2022. The candidates who wish to apply for this exam must keep a tab on the official website for the next update.
Registration
Candidates who are eligible to apply for this post may apply online on the official website of the NTPC. While filling the form candidates should pay extra attention that the information mentioned is correct. As it will be printed on the admit card.
Steps to apply online: -

- Click on the ‘careers’ link.
- Select the post and click on it.
- Mention the necessary information asked for carefully.
- Add all the documents asked for.
- Add passport size photographs.
- Enter the submit button and pay the application fee.
- Download and get the form printed for future use.
Syllabus
As the online test is divided into two stages, the syllabus also is according to that. For stage 1 the syllabus of written test nature and for stage 2 it is somehow comprehensive in nature.
For Stage 1
The syllabus comprises general English, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning aptitude. Below are the subtopics of these: -

Candidates who are interested in applying for this post must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria required which are their educational qualification, nationality, age limit, and some more.
Educational qualification
Candidates who are applying for this post must have done at least a diploma in the relevant subject of the engineering stream with at least 70% marks. The minimum marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWD category vary.

Exam Pattern
Candidates who have applied for this post have to go through 2 stages of a written test. And candidates qualifying for stage 1 with at least 40% marks could only move to stage 2. There is also a negative marking in both stages as 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
