Punjab police have announced SI recruitment for the year 2022. This exam will be state-level open for both male and female candidates. The board has announced a total of 560 vacancies divided into 4 cadres which are district police cadre, armed police cadre, investigation cadre, intelligence cadre. The notification was released on July 06, 2021, and the last date to apply is July 27, 2021.

The eligibility criteria for the SI post are divided into three aspect educational criteria, age and physical fitness which is to be checked after passing the exam.

The written exam is the first test candidate needs to clear to advance in the next round. The written paper consists of paper 1 and paper 2. The written test is a multiple-choice question-based exam.
The duration of the exam is 4 hours paper 1 carries 400 marks and paper 2 400 marks as well. The questions in the exam are related to General Knowledge, General English, and Communications, Logical Reasoning/ Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude/ Numerical Ability.
After clearing the written test candidates are called for a physical measurement test(PMT).
