- Applicants should have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Candidates should have passed the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Exam (AIME) in both Section A & B.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 55%, who belong from Unreserved /OBC and EWS categories.
- Candidates who are already working for UJVN Limited must secure a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the above branch of Engineering(Civil)
- Candidates belonging from SC/ST must have scored minimum passing marks or equivalent grades in the above branches of engineering.
UJVNL AE Eligibility: Domicile
As per the official notification announced by Uttarakhand Jal Vibhag Nigam Limited, candidates applying for UJVNL AE must be permanent resident of Uttarakhand. No relaxation of any kind is allowed or entertained for the candidates applying from any other state.
UJVNL AE Eligibility Criteria 2025: Number of Attempts
There is no restriction on UJVNL AE attempts. Candidates can apply as long as they meet the minimum age eligibility criteria.

The first phase of the Assistant Engineering exam is a written test. Other details are mentioned below:
- The exam will be organized in offline mode.
- The exam paper is set in two sections, containing 126 and 50 marks respectively. The first set is of 126 marks containing questions about the concerned subject. The second set consists of questions from- Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, and General Knowledge.
- Every question carries one mark.
- For every incorrect answer, candidates will lose 0.25 marks.
- The exam is objective in nature. Students are supposed to fill in answers in the OMR sheets and submit them.
- The exam total consists of 176 questions to be completed in 3 hours.
