About
Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released an advertisement official on their official website for the recruitment of Lecturers (Group C) to fill the vacancies in both General and Women Branches. Candidates of the Uttarakhand state are eligible to apply for the role. The selection procedure consists of two stages i.e., Written Exam followed by an interview round.
The exam dates are yet to be released but the tentative is predicted in October 2022. Candidates who have completed their Master’s degree and B. Ed degree are eligible for the post. Applications are open online on the official website of UKPSC. The exam will be conducted offline. The exam duration is 3 hours for a maximum marks of 200.

Registration
Candidates can follow the following steps to fill the application form for the UKPSC exam.
- Candidates must register themselves on the UKPSC website before filling out the application form providing the mobile number and email address.
- The candidates have to fill in the details of the academic, contact, and necessary personal information.
- The candidates should also upload their scanned copies of the documents required, passport size photograph, and signature.
- To complete the application process, candidates must pay the application fees.
- Take a printout of the filled application form as it is required during the document verification.

UKPSC Lecturer Educational Qualifications
Candidates aspiring to become lecturers upon the qualification of the UKPSC Examination should possess the following educational qualifications.
The educational qualification requirement is different for various subjects as explained below.
Sociology/ Geography/ Economics/ History/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Psychology/ English
- Candidates must have a PG degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Aspirants also need to have a B.Ed. degree or LT diploma from a recognized University/ Institute.
UKPSC Lecturer Educational Qualifications for Civics
- Candidates must have a PG degree in Civics from a recognized university.
- Aspirants also need to have a B.Ed. degree or LT diploma from a recognized University/ Institute.
UKPSC Lecturer Educational Qualifications for Biology
- Candidates need to have a PG degree in Zoology or Botany from a recognized university.
- Aspirants also need to have a B.Ed. degree or LT diploma from a recognized University/ Institute.
UKPSC Lecturer Educational Qualifications for Hindi
- PG degree in Hindi from a recognized university.
- Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit from a recognized university or having a Shashtri from a recognized university are also eligible.

- Candidates must have a Postgraduate degree in Sanskrit or any of the following from a recognized university – Aacharya – Sahitya, Aacharya – Vyakran, Aacharya – Falit, Aacharya – Jyotish, Aacharya – Navya Vyakran, Aacharya – Ved, Aacharya – Tulnatmak darshan.

Reservation
The age limit criteria for UKPSC Lecturer is listed below:
- The minimum age limit criteria for the UKPSC Lecturer post is 21 years
- The maximum age limit criteria for the UKPSC Lecturer post is 42 years.
- There is age relaxation of 5 years in the upper limit for the SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
- There is age relaxation of 10 years in the upper limit for the physically challenged candidates.
