About
The recruitment board of West Bengal Police has released the notification for hiring sub-inspectors based on eligible conditions and after conducting an open examination. Applicants have a minimum age of 17-20 years and a bachelor's degree as a qualification for being eligible for the vacancies. The main aim of the recruitment is to select the candidates who want to serve the nation by coming in police jobs after qualifying the entrance.
Latest Notification
WB Police SI result 2020 has been released. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the PET/PST round as part of the selection process. A total of 1,088 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.
WB Police SI Recruitment board will soon release a notification regarding the number of vacancies for the posts of Sub-inspector/Lady Sub-inspector of Police (Unarmed Branch) and sub-inspector of police ( Armed Branch) Jobs 2022.
Registration
The Steps required to Apply WBP Online Application Form for Police Sub Inspector (UB/ AB) Posts are as follows:-
- 1st Step – Open the official website of West Bengal Police – wbpolice.gov.in
- 2nd Step – Click on a link named “Notice for recruitment of Sub-Inspector/ Lady Sub-Inspector in West Bengal Police 2020 2021” on a home page.
- 3rd Step – Take a look at the notification before applying online form.
- 4th Step – Now, press the “WBPRB SI LSI Online Application” link.
- 5th Step – Fill up your Full Name, Father’s/ Husband’s Name, Gender, Age, DOB, Category, Nationality, Address, Email ID, Contact and mandatory information in the provided fields.
- 6th Step – Upload the scanned photograph and signature.
- 7th Step – Pay the application fee online through payment gateway by using Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/ Net-Banking of any Bank.
- 8th Step – Press the “Submit” button to register your application form.
- 9th Step – On successful submission, a copy of your Application Form with photograph, signature and unique Application Serial Number will appear on the screen.
- 10th Step – Preserve it safely for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria
To become eligible for the WB police SI Jobs candidates have to be eligible for the posts by qualifying these criteria-
Education Qualifications
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized University or its equivalent on or before January 2022.
Nationality
Candidates must be Indian citizens and have a Domicile of WB state.
Age Limit
Candidates must have ages between 20 years and below 27 years on 1st January 2022 to become eligible for the WB Police SI Jobs.
There would be some relaxation for the upper age limit for the reserved category candidates-
- WB police department Candidates: 8 years
- WB Police department OBC Candidates: 11 years
- WB Police department SC/ST Candidates: 13 years
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
Language
- Candidates must be able to speak, understand and write the Bengali language( except for the permanent residents of hill subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
- Physically handicapped students are not able to apply for these vacancies.
