Eligibilty Criteria

The candidates who are interested in the posts of Stenographer, Junior Administrative Assistant, and Forest Ranger could have a look at the basic eligibility criteria.

  • Must have a degree from a recognized university
Junior administrative assistant
  • Must have a degree or diploma from a recognized university
Forest ranger
  • Must have a degree in science or engineering from a recognized university in any of the subjects like agriculture, computer science, horticulture, geology, zoology, botany, etc.

Exam Pattern

The exam date for APSC recruitment 2022 will be out soon. Candidates appearing for the exam could look at the APSC exam pattern and study accordingly.

The exam is taken in three steps: preliminary exam, mains exam, and personality test.

APSC Preliminary Exam (400 Marks)

APSC Personality Test (275 marks)

A total of 275 marks have been allocated to the APSC Personality Test 2022. The marks of the personality test will be considered in the time of making the APSC Final Merit list as well as the Ranking of the candidates.

Note: The 30-35% questions would be about Assam state in the preliminary exam.

APSC Main Syllabus 2022

The main exam of APSC Recruitment 2022 consists of 8 papers. 2 of them are of qualifying nature.

APSC Essay

In this, candidates have to write an essay on the given topic in a descriptive form in the same language they have selected during filling out the application form.

APSC Qualifying Exam 2022

There are 2 qualifying exams. Only passing marks are required in both these exams.

APSC Qualifying Paper-1

Questions related to the language selected by the candidates are asked in this exam. There are questions like

  • Comprehension passage
  • Precis writing
  • Vocabulary and usage
  • Translation (English to any Indian language)

APSC Qualifying Paper-2

In this exam candidates’ ability to read, understand and also express their ideas are checked. There are questions like

  • Precis writing
  • Vocabulary and usage
  • Short essay

Note- After the candidate is done with prelims and the main exam, there is a personality test. On the basis of all three, the candidate is selected.
