Post-wise Eligibility Criteria for Bank Regulatory Exams

Eligibility for some other posts in banking sectors is as follows-

Probationary Officer [PO]

  • To appear for the Bank PO exams, candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 30.
  • Candidates must have a UG degree from a recognized university in order to apply.
  • Candidates must not have a prior criminal record.


  • Candidates for bank clerk positions must be between the ages of 20 and 28.
  • To appear, a graduate degree in any field from a recognized university or college is required.
  • Candidates should not have a history of criminal activity.

Specialist Officer [SO]

  • The specialist officer holds a variety of positions with varying age requirements. The maximum age for the position is 45 years old, and the minimum age is 21 years old.
  • To apply for a Specialist officer position, candidates must have a graduate degree.
  • The educational qualifications of the candidates may differ depending on the position for which they are applying.
Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for the pre-section of bank exams for Clerk and PO is the same, but the exam pattern for the mains is quite different. Check out the exam pattern provided below for more information:

  • The Preliminary banking examination will be administered online or offline, and each applicant will be given a total of one hour to complete the preliminary banking exam.
  • The Preliminary Exam is divided into three major sections, each with 100 unique questions and a maximum score of 100 points.
  • However, there is negative marking in place, with 0.25 points deducted for each incorrect answer attempted by applicants.
