Bureau of Indian Standards Educational Qualification

The educational criteria vary depending upon the various posts. Below we have given educational criteria for the same

Assistant Director (Marketing & Consumer Affairs)
  • Must have completed MBA or
  • any master‘s Degree or PG in journalism, or
  • Master‘s Degree or PG Diploma in Social Work from a recognized college/ University
Assistant Director (Finance)
  • Should be a Chartered Accountant/ Cost and Works Accountant/ Subordinate Accounts Service Accountant/ Master of Business Administration (with finance specialization). They more likely have finished their education from a well-known university.
  • At least three years of work experience in any Central/ State/ Union Territory Government or Statutory/ Autonomous Body or establishment.
Assistant Director (Administration) for Legal
  • Degree in law
  • Relevant work experience in any of the State/ Central/ Union Territory Government or Statutory/ Autonomous Body/ Public Sector Undertaking/ recognised Government agency.
Assistant Director (Library)
  • Master’s Degree in either Library and Information Science or Library Science
  • Or PG Diploma in either Library Science or Library and Information Science from a reputed university or college.
Assistant Director (Library)
  • Master’s Degree in Information Science and Library, or Library Science, or
  • PG Diploma in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized university or college.
Assistant Section Officer
  • Graduated from a recognized University or equivalent
  • Must have qualified Computer Proficiency Test
Personal Assistant
  • Graduated from a recognized University or equivalent
  • Must have cleared Computer Proficiency Test
  • The candidate must be an expert up to Level-6 of the National Skill Qualification system
  • they must have proper Knowledge of Shorthand test in English or Hindi comprising dictation test at 100 words per minute for 7 minutes
Junior Translator (Hindi)
  • PG diploma certificate from any renowned University in Hindi with English, Or
  • PG certification
  • At least two years’ of work experience related to terminological work in Hindi or translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa
Library Assistant Bachelors with recognized Diploma in Library Science. Also, a minimum of three years’ work experience is needed
Stenographer Graduation and efficiency a minimum of Level-6 of the National Skill Qualification Framework.
Senior Secretariat Assistant Must have Graduation Degree and cleared Computer Proficiency Skill Test
Junior Secretariat Assistant Must have Graduation and will be judged based on the Computer Proficiency Skill Test and Typing Speed Test
