About
Birla Institute of Technical Science (BITS) conducts BITS HD Admission Test for interested students aiming to get admission to Higher Degree programs such as M.E./ M.Pharma/ M.Phil, etc. The exam comprises two tests – Test I ( 30 Questions, 45 Minutes) and Test II (70 Questions, 105 Minutes). Apart from these tests, there would be special tests for ME Software Systems, and ME Sanitation Science, Tech. and Management applicants. The test would have +3 marks for each correct answer and -1 negative marking for each incorrect choice.

| Computer Science | Must possess an integrated first degree of BITS in Computer Science/ Engineering or its equivalent such as B.E/ B.Tech (Computer Science/ Engineering). Candidates with BE/ B.Tech degree in IT area will not be eligible to apply for ME Computer Science |
| Communication Engineering | Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication or its equivalent such as B.E/ B.Tech in these disciplines. |

Counselling
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores in the BITS HD 2022 Admission Test. Admissions to Higher Degree Programs are offered based on BITS HD exam/ GATE/ GPAT. Iteration results based on BTS HD exam will begin from Iteration 2. Students must bring the following list of documents at the time of counselling for verification:
- 10th class mark sheet and certificate
- 12th class mark sheet and certificate
- Graduate mark sheet and certificate
- Admit Card of BITS HD Entrance Examination 2022
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Income certificate for SC/ ST/ OBC
- Date of Birth Certificate
Syllabus
The syllabus for both tests is different. Students must go through each and every topic of the syllabus for clearing the entrance examination with better marks.
Test 1 covers the topics from Core Mathematics, English Language, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning.
Test 2 contains the topics from Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, and Physics.
