Border Security Force. Border Security Force (BSF), Assistant Commandants recruitment, is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). The exam is held at the National level and is one of the most prestigious and sought after posts in BSF.
Latest Notification
BSF has released an official notification on its website for the post of SI (Master), SI (Engine Driver), SI (Workshop), HC (Master), HC (Engine Driver). A total of 281 vacancies are to be filled out through this recruitment drive.
Registration
The application by the candidates must be submitted through online mode. No other mode for submission of application will be accepted. Candidates can follow the following steps to fill out the application form for the exam.
- Candidates should go to the BSF's official website, rectt.bsf.gov.in.
- Then go for the link BSF Constable GD Apply Online.
- Complete the “ONE TIME REGISTRATION” (OTR) process by filling in basic information relating to them i.e. Name, Mobile Number, and E-mail ID. Candidates to ensure that, only active/functional mobile number and E-mail ID must be used for One Time Registration purposes.
- On submission of information, candidates will receive their Registration ID and password on their given mobile number as well as their E-mail address.
- After completing the registration part candidates can apply for Recruitment to the posts by clicking on APPLY HERE link available next to the relevant advertisement.
- Candidates are advised to read the instructions mentioned in the recruitment notification carefully before proceeding to the online submission of the online application form.
- After reading the instructions, candidates should carefully fill out the relevant fields of the online application form and upload all essential documents.
- The candidates are required to make fee payments. After shown successful completion of fee payment, the application will be completed. Candidates may take a printout of this application for their record.
- Printout of applications is not required to be sent to BSF.
Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for online application, Candidates are advised to go through the proper eligibility criteria. BSF reserves the right to cancel the candidature of any candidate at any stage of the selection process if he/she is found not qualifying any of the prescribed eligibility criteria.
BSF Recruitment Educational Qualifications 2022
(i) Candidates must have matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University or Board with Two years’ work experience in respective trades;
(OR)
(ii) One-year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute/ Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade;
(OR)
(iii) Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.
BSF Recruitment Age Limit 2022
The age limit should be 18 to years as of 01.08.2021. Relaxation in respect of applicants for the SC/ST/OBC categories and other special categories of employees in compliance with Central Govt. orders given from time to time.

BSF Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test 2022
At the very beginning of the recruitment process, candidates will be asked to go through the height bar, and thereby, candidates with lesser height will get eliminated and will not be allowed to participate in further process of recruitment. Those candidates who qualify for the height bar will be subject to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which will be as under

BSF Trade Test 2022
The candidates who qualify in the PST, PET & Documentation will be put through the respective Trade Test. Each candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade test only. The Trade Test will be qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks. The requisite skill/qualification for each trade are as follows:

BSF Written Examination 2022
Successful candidates in the first phase of the examination, namely PST, PET, Documentation, and Trade Test, will be invited to appear in the second phase of the examination, comprising the Written Examination, which will be conveyed to the candidates by E-Mail address/ SMS for call letters online.

BSF Medical Examination
The candidates who qualify for all the above stages i.e. PST, PET, Documentation, Trade Test and Written Test will be put through Detailed Medical Examination (DME) which will be carried out by the Medical Board of Officers to assess their physical & medical fitness.
