Border Security Force. Border Security Force (BSF), Assistant Commandants recruitment, is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). The exam is held at the National level and is one of the most prestigious and sought after posts in BSF.
BSF has released an official notification on its website for the post of SI (Master), SI (Engine Driver), SI (Workshop), HC (Master), HC (Engine Driver). A total of 281 vacancies are to be filled out through this recruitment drive.
The application by the candidates must be submitted through online mode. No other mode for submission of application will be accepted. Candidates can follow the following steps to fill out the application form for the exam.
Before applying for online application, Candidates are advised to go through the proper eligibility criteria. BSF reserves the right to cancel the candidature of any candidate at any stage of the selection process if he/she is found not qualifying any of the prescribed eligibility criteria.
(i) Candidates must have matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University or Board with Two years’ work experience in respective trades;
(OR)
(ii) One-year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute/ Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade;
(OR)
(iii) Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.
The age limit should be 18 to years as of 01.08.2021. Relaxation in respect of applicants for the SC/ST/OBC categories and other special categories of employees in compliance with Central Govt. orders given from time to time.

At the very beginning of the recruitment process, candidates will be asked to go through the height bar, and thereby, candidates with lesser height will get eliminated and will not be allowed to participate in further process of recruitment. Those candidates who qualify for the height bar will be subject to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which will be as under

The candidates who qualify in the PST, PET & Documentation will be put through the respective Trade Test. Each candidate will be allowed to appear for one trade test only.
