Eligibilty Criteria

BSSC Age Limit

Candidates applying for such posts must fulfill the age criteria as per the official notification. The age criteria are provided below.

  • Candidates must have attained a minimum age of 21 years and the maximum age of male candidates for application is 37 years while the maximum age of female candidates is 40 years.
  • Age relaxation is offered to the candidates belonging to the reserved category for an upper age limit of application. For instance, the maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ST category is 42 years while for the OBC category the age limit is 40 years.

BSSC Required Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
  • The degree must be relevant to the discipline required for the applied post.

BSSC Mains Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify cutoff marks in the BSSC Prelims Exam are further shortlisted for the Mains Exam. The Mains Exam is available in both Hindi & English language and consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 consists of 100 multiple choice questions on General Hindi that are to be completed within 135 minutes while Paper 2 consists of 150 questions on General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, Comprehension/ Logic/ Reasoning/ Mental Ability that are to be completed within 135 minutes.
