Eligibilty Criteria

CGPET 2022 Eligibility

The common eligibility criteria for all courses are:

  • Applicant must be a citizen of India
  • The applicant should be a resident of Chhattisgarh and should have a domicile in the state.

There are 3 courses that are offered. The eligibility criteria for different courses are given below:

For Engineering:

  • Candidates must have cleared 12th grade from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarh or equivalent board.
  • The student must qualify in Physics, chemistry, mathematics, and one of the technical vocational subjects in the qualifying exam.
  • Minimum marks for the general category are 45% an40% for the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC/PH)

For Agricultural Engineering:

  • Candidates must be above 16 years of age on 31st December of the admission year.
  • He/she must have cleared 12th grade from a school affiliated with Chhattisgarh or equivalent board.
  • Minimum marks for the general category are 50%(PCM+ English) an40% for the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC/PH)
  • Candidates appearing for final exams are also eligible to apply for the exam.

For Dairy Technology:

  • Candidate must be above 17 years of age on 31st December 2022
  • Applicant must have cleared 12th grade from school affiliated to Chhattisgarhi or equivalent board.
  • Minimum marks for the general category are 50%(PCM+ English) an40% for the reserved category(SC/ST/OBC/PH)
  • Candidates appearing for final exams are also eligible to apply for the exam.
