Eligibilty Criteria

Before applying for CGPSC Recruitment 2022 candidates need to check their CGPSC Eligibility. The details are provided here:

CGPSC Educational Qualification

  • Candidates should have completed Graduation from a UGC-recognized university.
  • Candidates with Graduation in any discipline are eligible to apply for CGPSC.
  • Candidates should have scored a minimum of 60% in Bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates in the final year of their qualifying exam and whose results are awaited are also eligible.

CGPSC Age Eligibility

Before applying for CGPSC Recruitment 2022 candidates fulfil age criteria as provided in the official notification. Candidates are given age relaxations as prescribed by the constitution. Following is the maximum age a person can apply from various categories.

  • The candidate’s age should not be less than 21 years and should not exceed 29 years.
  • Candidates from General Category should not have attained more than 29 years of age.
  • Candidates who are domiciles of Chhattisgarh irrespective of their caste or tribe can have age relaxation up to 35 years of age.
  • Candidates from OBC/ SC/ST Category can expect age relaxations of 8 years.
  • Candidates whose parents are from a defence background can expect age relaxations of 3 years.
Exam Pattern

The CGPSC Recruitment 2022 will consist of the CGPSC Exam that includes Prelims, Mains, and Personal Interview. After qualifying and securing the set cut-off, candidates will be called for a Personal Interview. The final selection will be based on the marks scored in the Prelims + Mains Examination and Personal Interview. A Medical test will also be conducted for some of the posts.

The CGPSC Recruitment 2022 Exam Pattern is provided in the table below.

CGPSC 2022 consists of prelims and Mains exams. Preliminary Exam is of 200 marks and Mains Examination is of 700 marks. The details of both are provided below.

CGPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2022

  • The prelims examination is of two subjects of 200 marks each.
  • All the questions are objective.
  • Every correct answer fetches you 2 marks whereas an incorrect answer deducts 1/3 of the marks.
  • Candidates should qualify in both subjects to qualify for the CGPSC Mains examination of CGPSC 2022.

The mains exam is held in a total of 7 subjects of 200 marks each.

  • All the candidates who qualify in all three stages will be considered eligible for various posts.
  • Marks of paper 2 of prelims will not be considered in the final selection.
