Eligibilty Criteria

The eligibility criteria for applying for the post of CSIR Junior Secretariat Assistant have been explained in the sections below:

CSIR IMMT Junior Secretariat Assistant Age Limit

  • The candidates should not be more than 28 years of age.
  • The age relaxation for ST/ SC candidates is 5 years and for OBC is 3 years.
  • PwD candidates get an age relaxation of 10 - 15 years (mainly 15 years for ST/SC, 13 years for OBC, and 10 years for general).
  • The windowed and divorced women also get an age relaxation of 35 - 40 years (mainly ST/SC for 40 years, OBC for 38 years, and General for 35 years).

Junior Secretariat Assistance (S&P)
  • Should have completed 10+2 or an equivalent degree.
  • Should be proficient in computer typing speed (English - 35 w.p.m).

Exam Pattern
  • The CSIR IMMT exam for Junior Secretariat Assistant is either a written OMB-based test or a computer-based test.
  • It is conducted in two phases: Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • Paper-II will be evaluated only for those candidates who have secured the minimum threshold marks in Paper-I.
  • Paper-I will consist of 100 questions for 200 marks, that need to be solved in 90 minutes. This paper does not have any negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Paper-II will consist of 100 questions for 300 marks and the time provided will be 60 minutes. There will be negative markings in this paper.
  • Both the paper will be in Hindi and English language.
