Eligibilty Criteria

The minimum eligibility for applying for DAVUET 2022 examination is 10+2 or any other equivalent examination. The detailed eligibility for DAVUET 2021 is listed below:

  • Aspirants who have appeared and will be appearing in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or HSC in 2022 are eligible to apply.
  • The appearing applicants will be required to present the proof of pass percentage at the time of admission.
  • If the pass percentage proof is not presented at the time of admission, the candidature will be cancelled.
  • Applicants who have compartment in 10+2 examination at the time of admission will not be eligible to apply for any course.
  • For different courses, subject combinations for 10+2 exam is mandatory. The course and subject requirement are:
  1. For B.Tech (all programs): Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics combination is mandatory.
  2. For B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics, B.Sc. Computer Science (General): Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics combination is mandatory.
  3. For B. Sc. (Hons.) in either of the subjects Agriculture /Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Microbiology/Physics: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics combination OR Physics, Chemistry & Biology combination.
  4. B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany/Zoology: Physics, Chemistry & Biology combination is compulsory.
  5. If applicants who have studied PCMB in class X & XII and is eligible to apply for both B.Tech and B.Sc. programs.
  6. The applicant with PCMB will be considered for the merit list of both the programs.
  7. DAV University has the right to alter the subject combination required for the mentioned programs.

Syllabus

Syllabus

The syllabus for DAVUET 2022 will be based on CBSE syllabi of 10+2 level. Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Students are advised to prepare these sections thoroughly. Aspirants can also practice the previous year’s question papers to get an idea about the kind of questions asked. Candidates must practice all topics to get a grip of all the topics.

Counselling

Only candidates who will be shortlisted based on DAVUET 2022 will be eligible for the counselling process. Candidates will have to check the official site for date and time of the counselling.

DAVUET 2022 Counselling will be held at DAV University premises in Jalandhar, Punjab and/or at a center to be notified later subsequent to the declaration of the result. The admission will be provided on the basis merit. Merit List will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s score in the entrance examination.

Counselling and Seat Allotment will be done in the sequential order based on candidates’ performance.

  • All the certificates and documents of candidate will be verified at the counselling center on the stipulated date.
  • Candidate should appear for Counselling procedure himself/herself with all the necessary documents.
  • No other person will be allowed to appear for the counselling and admission on behalf of candidate.
  • Candidates will have to download and take a printout of his/her counselling letter/counselling record from the University website and appear for the counselling as per the counselling schedule.
  • It is the responsibility of candidates to confirm whether they possess the required qualification for admission or not.
  • Admission is provisional till he/she submit the complete prescribed fee, get all document verified and complete the admission formalities
  • Change of date/time of counselling is generally not permissible.
  • If a candidate does not appear for counselling/interview on the date and time specified in the call letter, his/her seat shall be offered to the next candidate in order of merit.
  • Candidates will have to deposit the prescribed fee on confirmation of the seat and acceptance of the branch allotted.
