Aspirants must satisfy the eligibility criteria set by the GSECL for the Junior Programmer exam. If the candidates do not meet these eligibility criteria, they may be disqualified at a later exam stage. The detailed eligibility criteria are given below:
The upper age limit is set to 35 years for all categories as of 25 August 2022, except for EWS and reserved candidates. Their age limit is 40 years. Candidates also get the age relaxation as given in the table below:

Candidates must submit the following documents for verification after qualifying for the written test. The list of documents is given below:
Candidates must know the exam pattern to score more during the Junior Programmer exam. The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, which carry one mark each. The language of the paper will be English. There is a negative marking in the exam. ¼ of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. There is no marking for the leftover answers.
