Eligibilty Criteria

Before beginning to fill out the online application form for the entrance exam, all candidates must meet AICTE's eligibility criteria for appearing in HPCET 2022.

  • Candidates must have passed a 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board/university with at least 45% aggregate marks in the general category and at least 40% in the reserved category.
  • Candidates must have completed Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12th, as well as one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational.

Application Form

The HPCET 2022 Application Form will be available on 21 April 2022. HPCET 2022 applications will be accepted until  18 June 2022. All candidates who apply for the exam must ensure that they meet the HPCET eligibility requirements. Before completing the HPCET application form, candidates should read all of the instructions in the information brochure. The following is a step-by-step procedure for completing the online application form:

Step 1: Create an Account/Register: Fill out the Account Registration Form that will appear on your a system with the following registration information:

  • Name
  • Username
  • Password
  • Confirm password
  • Date of Birth
  • Email address
  • Mobile number

On the computer screen, a system-generated Application Form Number will appear. The User Name and The application Number will also be emailed to the provided email address. All applicants must write down or save their user names and password for future use.

Step 2: Completing the Application Form: Enter your username, password, and application number after clicking the Login button. To complete the application form, enter the following information:

  • Name of the Candidate
  • Father’s Mother’s Name
  • Nationality
  • Aadhaar Card Number
  • Programme Applied For
  • Examination Centre
  • Category & Sub-Category
  • Qualifying Exam Details
  • Permanent Address
  • Correspondence Address

Now, click on “Save & Continue”

Step 3: Upload Photograph and Signature: Candidates must upload scanned images of their photograph and signature during this step. Click Browse and choose your photograph and signature in the dimensions/sizes and formats specified in the brochure. After attaching the images, click the Upload & button.
Step 4: Verification: The confirmation stage of the HPCET 2022 application form comes next. The
completed application form appears, and the candidate has two choices: Edit or Submit. Proceed to
Payment. If you want to make changes to the application details, click edit; otherwise, proceed to payment.
Step 5: Pay the Fee: After confirming the information entered in the application form, applicants will be automatically redirected to the fee payment page. There will be two payment options available, as well as the following links:

  • Offline PNB Challan Generation Link or
  • Online Fee Payment Link

Choose the most convenient payment method for you and make the payment to complete your HPCET
2022 application.

Exam Pattern

The HPCET 2022 Exam Pattern contains information such as the type of questions asked in the test, the marking scheme, the total number of questions, sectional marks, negative marking, and so on. Candidates must be well-versed in the exam pattern of the entrance exam in order to successfully attempt and solve the question paper.

HPCET 2022 Score

The HPCET 2022 results will be available on the official website. Candidates can access the HPCET 2022 Results by visiting the official website. The results will include candidate information as well as the marks they received in each subject. After reviewing their HPCET 2022 Result or scorecard, candidates should download and print it.

How to Download and View the Scorecard

  • Click on the HPCET 2022 Result link on the official website.
  • Enter the candidate’s HPCET roll number or name.
  • The HPCET 2022 result will be displayed.
  • Candidates must take the print and keep it safe for future reference and counselling. HPTU will create a rank list for candidates who pass the HPCET 2022. The merit list will be compiled based on the test takers’ scores. The HPCET 2022 merit list will be available both online and on the university’s notice board.

Answer Key for HPCET 2022

The HPCET 2022 answer key will be available on the same day as the exam. Candidates can use the
HPCET 2022 answer key to cross-check the responses they marked against the questions in the test and determine their likely score. If test takers discover an error in the official HPCET 2022 answer key, they can file a complaint with the university.

HPCET 2022 Deadline

The HPCET 2022 cut-off is the minimum qualifying score that candidates must achieve in order to be eligible for the counselling process and seat allocation. Following the announcement of the results, HPTU will announce the HPCET 2022 cut-off. Only successful candidates with scores greater than or equal to the HPCET 2022 cut-off will be admitted based on their HPCET 2022 exam rank.

Factors influencing the HPCET 2022 Cut Off:

The following factors would be considered in determining the cut off:

  • Number of candidates
  • Number of available seats
  • Exam difficulty
  • Candidate-to-seat ratio
  • The government establishes reservation policies.
  • Admission trends from the previous year.

Counselling for the HPCET 2022

On April 21, 2022, the online registration process for HPCET counselling began. After completing the registration process, candidates who pass the HPCET will be eligible to participate in counselling sessions. Candidates will be shortlisted for counselling based on the merit list prepared on the basis of scores obtained in HPCET or JEE Main depending upon the test they are applying through for seeking admission. HPTU will begin counselling for JEE Main qualified candidates on July 3, 2022 (tentatively), and HPCET qualified candidates on July 8, 2022. (tentatively).

  • The first 50% of seats in all participating colleges will be allocated through counselling to JEE Main 2022 qualified candidates, with the remaining seats going to HPCET 2022 qualified candidates.
  • If vacant seats remain after counselling for JEE Main 2022 and HPCET 2022, they will be assigned to candidates based on their 10+2 performance.

Seats in state engineering colleges will be assigned to participating candidates based on their preferences during the counselling process. Candidates must pay the HPCET admission fee to secure their seats. Candidates must pay the registration fee online using a debit/credit card or net banking.
Following the completion of the counselling process, candidates must report to their designated institutes for document verification.

Documents Required for HPCET Counselling:

At the time of HPCET Counselling 2022, the candidate must present the following documents in original, along with one set of photocopies duly attested.

  • Certificates from classes XII and X.
  • The board/university issues mark sheets for classes XII and X.
  • Certificate of birth or matriculation/higher secondary/Indian school certificates displaying the date of birth
  • Scorecard for JEE Main/HPCET
  • Character reference from the head of the most recent institution attended.
  • The concerned authority issues a genuine/domicile certificate.
  • If applicable, a reserved category certificate is issued by the competent authority.
  • If applicable, a physically challenged certificate is issued by the competent authority.
  • If applying under the tuition fee waiver scheme, the competent authority will issue an income certificate.
  • If applying under the Beti Hai Anmol Scheme, an affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate.
  • If applying under the supernumerary Kashmiri migrant quota, Kashmiri migrants and a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority are required.

The HPCET 2022 syllabus provides candidates with clarity on the topics and units from which questions in the question paper were asked. The HPCET 2022 Syllabus includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics units and topics.
