The Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Department is the legal branch of the Indian Army. It deals with military related disciplinary cases and litigation and assists in providing legal assistance to the army in human rights matters and the rule of law among other things.
Indian Army has released notification for vacancies in the Judge Advocate General (JAG 29) roles on January 19, 2022. A total of 9 candidates will be recruited to fill vacancies and out of which 6 eligible men and 3 women will be recruited. Candidates passing the selection process will be eligible for the post. The online application process began on January 19, 2022, and commenced on February 17, 2022.
It is advisable for all the candidates to apply for the exam only after checking the eligibility criteria. Candidates must fill out and submit the Indian Army JAG Recruitment application form via online mode to appear in the exam. Applications will only be accepted online on the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates can follow the following steps to fill out the application form for the Indian Army Recruitment exam.

Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the Indian Army to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria have four components:
The aspiring candidate should be a graduate of the Law Degree either 3 years or 5 years with a minimum 55% aggregate. Additively the candidate must also be registered with the Bar Council of State/ India.
To apply for the Indian Army Recruitment of JAG in the Short Service Commission, the candidate should be a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 27 years. The selection committee will consider the age according to the matriculation certificate.

The candidates are required to be a minimum height of 157 cm along with a minimum weight of 60 kg. Additively, the chest measurement of the candidate must be 80 cm and with expansion, it should measure at least 85 cm.

There is an SSB interview after clearing the SSB exam you will go for a medical examination after clearing your medical examination there will be a final merit list on the basis of the merit list you will be called for training at OTA.
