The full form of IRMS is the Indian Railway Management Service. Indian Railways is one of the leading establishments in India with almost 72% engineers on Group services. Previously, UPSC IRMS were selected through the Civil Services Examination and Indian Engineering Service Exam.
Latest Notification
IRMS Recruitment notification 2022 has not been released yet. However, it is expected to be announced in the month of March 2022. In the notification, the Union Public Service Commission will announce all the details including eligibility criteria, application process, tentative exam dates, salary and other details.
Eligibility Criteria
Following are the requirements of IRMS eligibility criteria.
- An applicant shall have achieved in the age of 21 years and need not have achieved in the age of 32 years.
- The upper age limit agreed beyond is relaxable for the following applicants which are 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and 3 years for Other Backward Classes.
- There are some physical and visual criteria as well that must be fulfilled by the candidates applying for IRMS.
Exam Pattern
Preliminary Examination which will have a common GS paper for every technical and non-technical student. In the preliminary examination, for the GS part, they provide classes like IES GS along with the best quality material.
Mains Examination includes specified subject technical applicants who will get technical papers like IES mains. The non-technical candidates will get selected as an optional subject in the IRMS Mains. At the start, the applicant wants to select technical, electrical, electronic, civil, mechanical, and non-technical.
