ITBP recruitment exam is conducted on an annual basis. It is necessary for the candidates to fulfill all the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.
To be eligible for the ITBP exam the candidate has a minimum age of 20 and the maximum age of being 25 years.

To apply for the ITBP recruitment exam one should be an Indian citizen. Candidates from Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible for applying.
To apply for the ITBP exam the candidate should be in possession of a bachelor's degree from any stream. The degree must be issued from a Central Government or State government-affiliated University. Degrees from any deemed to be a university will also be accepted.
To appear in the examination there is also a necessity for meeting eligibility criteria based on physical standards. The physical standards that a candidate needs to meet for applying for the ITBP Assistant Commandant post are given below:
