Eligibilty Criteria

Before taking the final test, candidates should be aware of the basic qualifying requirements for the JIPMER 2022 Exam. The institution establishes eligibility requirements based on the information provided here.

  • The candidate's citizenship must be Indian or non-resident Indian.
  • An applicant with a foreign nationality must first obtain clearance from the Indian Medical Council.
  • The candidate must be 17 years old on or before December 31, 2022, or have been born on or before January 1, 2003.
  • There will be no exceptions in terms of a candidate's categorization.
  • The candidate must have received a minimum of 50% in aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology as well as English Language.
  • For reserved candidates such as SC/ST/OBC, the minimum aggregate marks in 10+2 shall be 40%.
  • The minimum aggregate score for general OPH candidates will be 45 percent.

A candidate who has taken or will take the final examination, or who has a pending result, is eligible to apply for the JIPMER 2022 Exam

Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern for JIPMER 2022

The JIPMER 2022 exam will only be available online. The exam pattern is described in detail further down.

  • The JIPMER 2022 Exam will be held in two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
  • The exam will last 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • The total number of questions is 200, and each correct answer is worth four points.
  • There are no deductions for wrong answers.

To be admitted to the courses of their choice, candidates must understand the complete JIPMER 2022 syllabus. The programme covers 12th-grade physics, chemistry, and biology, as well as logic and quantitative reasoning, and English.


Counseling JIPMER 2022

The institute will conduct JIPMER 2022 counselling based on the cut-off score and rank. For the counselling session, the candidate must be physically present at the designated location and time with all relevant documentation. Registration, biometric verification, photo ID verification, certificate checking and verification are all part of the counselling procedure. The following is a list of all the documents that the candidate must bring to the counselling appointment.

  • JIPMER 2022 Admit Card or Hall ticket
  • JIPMER 2022 Score Card
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or Certificate of 10th class).
  • Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination.
  • Marks statement of the qualifying examination.
  • Character Certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied.
  • Residence Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority, not below the rank of Tahsildar.
  • Community Certificate for OBC or Other Backward Classes / Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe by Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
  • Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied.
  • Residence Certificate only for the resident of Puducherry
  • Employer Certificate (if applicable)
  • Medical Certificate in case of OPH Candidate.
  • Six recent passport size colour photographs.
  • NRI Status certificate for Non-Resident Indian issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective Country with the Embassy seal.
  • Certificate of Registration for Overseas Citizen of India
