Eligibilty Criteria

JKSSB Eligibility: Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India and have a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir for the exam.

JKSSB Eligibility: Age Limits

The lower age limit for all the posts is 18 years. However, candidates have to follow different upper age limits for various class IV posts and account Assistant posts as of January 1, 2022.

JKSSB Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

The basic requirement for the educational qualification for various posts are given below-

  • Candidates must have graduated from a recognized University in any stream with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for the general category and 45% for the reserved category for accounts Assistant Posts.
  • Candidates must have a 10th (Matriculation) or intermediate from a recognized Board for Class 4th posts.
  • Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in any stream or Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline for Sub-inspector Posts.
Exam Pattern

JKSSB conducts examinations that consist of objective type, multiple choice questions only and should be OMR based. There will be a negative scheme in the exam, every incorrect answer deducted 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates can check the JKSSB exam pattern in detail here.
