Karnataka PGCET 2022 General Eligibility criteria

  • Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Domicile: Candidates from the home state must have a domicile of Karnataka for getting a reservation.
  • Other State Candidates: Candidates from other states can also apply for Karnataka PGCET but they will not be eligible for getting any reservation.

Karnataka PGCET 2022 Eligibility for different courses are as follows

Full time M.E /M. Tech/ M. Arch Course Qualification B. Tech/ M. Sc or equivalent degree from a recognized board or university
Qualifying Marks Candidates from Karnataka need to get a minimum of 50% marks in all subjects of years/ semester
GATE Candidates Candidates who want to apply through national level scores, need a valid GATE score card
Reservation Category 45% qualifying marks required for ST/ SC/ OBC and category- 1 candidates; Reservation is only applicable for Karnataka state candidates
Part time M.E /M. Tech/ M. Arch Course Qualification B. Tech/ M. Sc or equivalent degree from a recognized board or university
Qualifying Marks Candidates of Karnataka state need to get a minimum of 50% marks in all subjects of years/ semester
GATE Candidates Candidates who want to apply through national-level scores need a valid GATE scorecard

Work experience After completing the degree, candidates must not have work experience of fewer than three years as of 31 st July, 2022; This work must be completed in an organization within a 40 km radius of the candidate’s institution
Additional requirement NOC from filled up by the employer and duly signed by a competent authority
MCA Course Educational Qualification UG degree with Mathematics/Statistics/Computer
Qualifying Marks Candidates need to qualify graduation with 50% marks for the general category and 45% marks for any reserved category
Subjects graduation degree with one of the following subjects. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Application, Business Mathematics and Business Statistics
Reservation Category reserved category candidates such as ST/ SC/ OBC and category- 1 require 45% marks graduation
2nd year lateral entry in MCA Course Educational qualification Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years duration in courses like BCA, B.Sc (I.T. / Computer Science)
Qualifying marks Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks together in all the subjects of the Degree Examination
Subjects Must have Mathematics as a subject at 10 + 2 level or at Graduate Level
Reservation category 45% of marks is required in the qualifying examination of SC, ST, and Category-I candidates belonging to Karnataka state

Karnataka PGCET 2022 ME / M.Tech / M.Arch Syllabus

  • The syllabus for the entrance test will be set according to the branch chosen by the candidates.
  • There are 60 questions from the subject chosen by the candidate in the paper and the remaining questions will be from Arithmetic and Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English.
