Eligibilty Criteria

The students must check the eligibility criteria for KVPY before applying as it is very crucial. The candidate must be an Indian citizen to apply for the KVPY exam 2022. The KVPY Eligibility Criteria for the various streams are tabulated below:

Courses Eligibility Criteria (SA Stream)
Current Academic Status Students who are studying in class 11th are eligible to apply for this course.
Minimum marks in Class 10th Students who have passed with at least 75% marks in total in science and maths subjects are eligible to apply.
Minimum marks in Class 12th Students who have passed with at least 60% marks in total
Courses Eligibility Criteria (SX Stream)
Current Academic Status Students who are studying in class 11th are eligible to apply for this course.
Minimum marks in Class 10th Students who have passed with at least 75% marks in total in science and maths subjects are eligible to apply.
Minimum marks in Class 12th Students who have passed with at least 60% marks in total
Courses Eligibility Criteria (SB Stream)
Current Academic Status Candidates who enrolled in 1st year of the UG programme/Bachelor’s course in Basic science are eligible to apply for this course.
Minimum marks in Class 12th Students who have passed with at least 60% marks in total
Exam Pattern

The candidate appearing for the KVPY exam must check the exam pattern to understand the exam. The KVPY exam pattern is elaborated in detail below:

  • The KVPY exam will be conducted in an online (Computer Based Test) mode.
  • The medium of the KVPY exam will be both English and Hindi.
  • There are multiple-choice questions in the exam. All the questions are compulsory in the SA stream. There is an option to attempt any three sections in Part I and any two sections in Part II in Stream SB/SX.
  • The duration of the KVPY Exam is three hours.
  • The KVPY Exam paper will contain two sections- Part I and Part II, having four sections each.
  • The KVPY SA exam carries 100 marks while the KVPY SX/SB exam carries 160 marks.
  • In Part I, one mark will be awarded for each correct response and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
  • In Part II of Stream SA and Stream SB/SX, two marks will be given for each correct response and 0.5 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

Result

The KVPY Result is published on its official website and is available in PDF format. The KVPY merit list consists of the roll number, application number, name, and rank of candidates who have qualified for KVPY. there is no procedure for the re-evaluation of the KVPY result under any circumstances.

How to Check KVPY Result 2022?
Here are the steps to cheek KVPY 2022 Result:

  • Visit the official website of KVPY.
  • Enter the Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • The date of birth should be given in the format of DD-MM-YYYY.
  • Click on the ‘Continue’ button.
  • The KVPY result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Take a printout of the same for future references.
