The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, popularly known as MHT CET, is the entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for admission to undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses in various colleges in Maharashtra. The exam is conducted every year by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. There are more than 400 institutes in Maharashtra which accept MHT CET scores for admission to their various Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Candidates belonging to Maharashtra as well as from the other states of India can apply for the MHT CET exam.
MHT CET documents required 2022 before filling the application form
The application form was available only in online mode. Candidates interested in applying had to fill the form within specified dates. The complete step-by-step procedure to fill the MHT CET application form 2022 is given below.
Step 1- Open the official website.
Step 2- Click on "MHT CET Registration 2022"
Step 3- Fill in the required information and click on submit button to complete the registration process
Step 4- After registration, candidates will be redirected to fill the application form. Fill in all the required details and complete the application process.
Step 5- Upload scanned images of photo, signature and ID proof and other documents required for MHT CET form
Step 6- Pay application fees
The application form will be automatically submitted after the successful payment of application fees. Candidates need to download their filled application form and take a printout of it. It is advised that candidates keep their forms safe until the completion of the admission process.
The eligibility criteria for MHT CET 2022 is on the official websites. There are certain requirements that candidates have to meet to be eligible for MHT CET 2022 admission. Candidates failing to meet any MHT CET 2022 criteria will not be considered for final admission. Type D | Candidates who do not fall under any above-mentioned types but have a Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking. |
Type E | Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. |

The MHT CET exam will have Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) which will be based on the syllabus of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Also, 20% weightage will be given to the questions from the Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to the questions from the Class 12th syllabus while setting the MHT CET question paper. Candidates need to know the marking scheme of the exam as it will help in understanding the type of question and the total number of questions with marks allotted to them.
