Eligibilty Criteria

The eligibility criteria for MHT CET 2022 is on the official websites. There are certain requirements that candidates have to meet to be eligible for MHT CET 2022 admission. Candidates failing to meet any MHT CET 2022 criteria will not be considered for final admission. Candidates should check the prescribed eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2022 before filling out the application form.

Age Limit There is no age limit to appear for MHT CET 2022
Qualifying Exam Candidates should have passed HSC or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Students who are appearing for their class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to apply.
Diploma holders are also eligible.
BSc degree holders with Maths in class 12th are also eligible to apply for MHT CET 2022
Subjects Candidates should have completed class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.

MHT CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria - Maharashtra State

A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

Types Eligibility Criteria
Type A Candidates who have passed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State.
A candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra
Type B A candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but has a Father or Mother who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.
Type C Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted and reported to the duty in Maharashtra before the deadline for MHT CET CAP application submission (which means the counselling application form)
Type D Candidates who do not fall under any above-mentioned types but have a Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
Type E Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

 

Exam Pattern

The MHT CET exam will have Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) which will be based on the syllabus of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Also, 20% weightage will be given to the questions from the Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to the questions from the Class 12th syllabus while setting the MHT CET question paper. Candidates need to know the marking scheme of the exam as it will help in understanding the type of question and the total number of questions with marks allotted to them.
