Eligibilty Criteria

The NATA 2022 eligibility criteria have been relaxed by the CoA. Before submitting an application, all candidates must meet the following NATA eligibility requirements:

Age Restrictions: There are no age restrictions for taking the exam.
Required subject: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are required subjects in Class 12.
Qualifications: Candidates must have completed the 12th grade from a recognized board.
Marks: Candidates must obtain at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), as well as 50% in the aggregate of the 10+2 level examination. Candidates from the SC, ST, OBC-NCL, or PwD (Persons with Disabilities) categories will be given a 5% mark relaxation in the total aggregate at the 10+2 level.
Diploma holders: Candidates who passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and received at least 50% in aggregate are also eligible to take the exam.

Exam Pattern

Candidates are advised to review the NATA 2022 exam pattern before developing a preparation strategy. The exam pattern will inform candidates about the entrance examination mode, duration, marking scheme, and other details. Understanding the exam pattern is critical for candidates to feel at ease and achieve good results during the entrance examination.

  • Mode of Examination- NATA 2022 will be held in online mode.
  • Duration of Examination- Candidates will get 180 minutes to solve the questions.
  • Type of Questions- MCQs, Multiple Select Type (MSQ), Preferential Choice Type (PCQ), Numerical Type Questions (NAQ), Match the following (MFQ)
  • Medium of Test - The medium of NATA 2022 is English.
  • Marks for each question- Candidates will get 1 mark, 2 marks or 3 marks for each question
