About
National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG) is a competitive entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). NBE is an autonomous body established in 1975 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. It was established as a Society under Delhi Society registration act, to standardising postgraduate medical education and examination in India. NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act 1956. It is a single window entrance examination for PG courses. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 w.e.f. 2024 admission session. NEET-PG 2025 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Medical Courses for the academic session 2025 which will include the following: All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana) State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana) MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions. Latest Notification
The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences has declared the National Eligibility Entrance Tests (NEET) Post Graduate Exam. The result was scheduled to declared on March 2025but the same is declared on June, 2025. Candidates who have appeared for the NEET PG Exam, can check their results by visiting the official website - nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in.
Registration
Applicants can check the steps to fill application form of NBE NEET PG 2025 below:
- Fill the registration form for obtaining User ID and Password
- User ID and password will be then, sent through SMS and Email
- Fill the application form - Personal Details, Qualification Details (MBBS / Primary Medical Qualification details, Internship Details, SMC/MCI Registration Details), Test Center Details
- Upload a recent passport size photograph (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format) and signature (Maximum 80 Kb size, in JPG/JPEG format) signature
- Choose test city
- Make a payment of fees in the online mode through debit/credit card or net banking.
- Take a print out of the filled application form with transaction ID printed on it.

Educational Qualification - Candidates are required to possess MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognised by the Indian Medical Council Act 1956

Certificate of Registration - Candidates must have MBBS qualification registration (permanent/provisional). This registration is supposed to be issued by MCI or State Medical Council (SMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI)

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025 - AIQ 50% seats
The criteria which candidates are required to fulfil for 50% AIQ seats is mentioned below:

In accordance with NEET PG 2025 eligibility criteria, medical graduates belonging from the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for AIQ 50% seats.

Only those candidates from J&K who have been nominated by the Government of India, under central pool seats, for pursuing MBBS from medical colleges in Jammu & Kashmir will be eligible for AIQ 50% seats. These candidates have to submit a duly signed affidavit which declares that they have been nominated by the Government of India under the above-mentioned category.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025 - Foreign Medical Graduates

Also, this registration will be limited to the medical college/institution in which the candidate has taken admission exclusively for the pursuance of postgraduate studies

Official sources confirmed that the NEET PG 2025 counselling will begin on September 1. However, the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule is expected to be announced soon at mcc.nic.in.
