Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates taking the NIACL examination must be able to convince the terms of Nationality, Educational Qualification, and age relaxations.

NIACL Age Limit

Candidates must be between 21-30 years of age. Applicants may also be eligible for age relaxations based on the category to which they belong. The following age relaxation is applicable for both Assistant and Administrative Officers post in NIACL.

NIACL Educational Qualifications

Candidates who wish to join NIACL after passing the NIACL Recruitment 2022 Examination should have the following educational qualifications.

Administrative Officers (AO) Eligbility Criteria Graduation/Post Graduation with 60 percent marks in any discipline from a recognized university is the minimum qualification required for the NIACL AO 2021 exam. SC/ST should have 55%.
Assistant Eligbility Criteria
  • A candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • The candidate must have passed English as one of his or her subjects at the SSC/HSC/Intermediate/Graduate level. As of the date of application registration, the candidate must have a certificate proving that he or she has passed the qualifying examination.

NIACL Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

Eligible candidates should be from one of the following groups:

  • A resident of India
  • A resident of Nepal
  • A resident of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before the 1st of January 1962.
  • A person of Indian origin who has moved to India permanently from countries such as Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
Exam Pattern

The NIACL Assistant Selection Process is divided into two stages: preliminary and main exams. The Preliminary Examination is the first step, followed by the Main Examination. The exam pattern for both of these stages is as follows:

NIACL Assistant Exam Pattern

The Preliminary examination is the first step in the selection process for the position of Assistant in New India Assurance Company Limited.

Preliminary Exam

The following are the Preliminary Exam details: -

  • There are 100 questions in total.
  • Each question carries one point.
  • The Preliminary Exam lasts one hour.

Main Exam

  • The Main Examination lasts for two hours.

NIACL AO Exam Pattern

The NIACL AO Exam is broken down into sections. Technical and Professional Knowledge Test in the relevant discipline, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Awareness are the sections. Patterns are divided into two categories. One is for candidates applying for Generalist positions, while the other is for Specialist positions.
