Eligibilty Criteria

Before applying for the PGT exam, the aspirants must check if they successfully the requirements such as the age limit, educational qualifications, nationality, experience, etc. The requirements are listed in the following table in detail:

  • Candidates must not be below the age of 21.
  • Candidates must not be above the age of 21.
Educational Qualification Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the subject concerned with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Or

  • Candidates must have a two years integrated M.Sc from Regional College of Education NCERT in the concerned subject with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
  • Must have a B.Ed or equivalent degree that is recognized by the National Council for Teacher’s Education, New Delhi.

Desired Qualification: Diploma or degree in Computer Application.

Nationality Must be citizens of India (Must know Odia)

Exam Pattern
  • The written test will include General English, General Knowledge, and the subject involved for which the vacancies have been released.
  • The exam will be Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions and will be taken in one paper which will carry 150 marks and 150 questions. The duration of the exam is three hours.
  • The exam will have two parts: Part A which will be compulsory and Part B which will be taken on the subject concerned.
  • The mandatory Part A will have 50 questions with a total of 50 marks.

Part B which will contain the subject concerned will contain 100 questions and will carry a total of 100 marks which will include the syllabus directed for postgraduate degree in the concerned subject.The pattern of the OPSC PGT exam is given in the table below:
