Eligibilty Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the SI post are divided into three aspect educational criteria, age and physical fitness which is to be checked after passing the exam.

Punjab Police SI Educational Qualification 2022

Candidates to check educational qualification before filling out an application form. Candidates must possess the required educational documents at the time of verification.

Sub-Inspector (Armed Police Cadre) Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university
Sub-Inspector (Investigation Cadre) Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university
Sub-Inspector (Intelligence Cadre) Candidate should be Graduate from a recognized university as the case may be provided such that candidate shall also process ‘o’ level certificate of information technology from national institute of electronics and information technology Graduate from the recognized university with computer science or computer application for information technology as one of the elective subjects during the entire duration of the graduation. BSc/BTech/BE in information technology or computer science, computer cleaning, computer science and engineering or information systems or networking or data science or software engineering or BC or postgraduate diploma in computer application from recognized university for institutions.

Punjab Police SI Age Limit 2022

  • Candidate must be of age 18 years and maximum age of 28 years play so first January 2021
  • Although the candidates from reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC sharpie given relaxation in the upper age limit by 5 years.
  • The ex-servicemen shall be given relaxation in the upper age limit by three years plus the number of services served by him in defense forces.
  • Serving government employees sharp given relaxation in upper age limit by five years birthday should not be of age 33 years as of January 1ST 2021.
Exam Pattern

The exam for the Punjab Police sub-inspector completes in two stages which are

  • Written-test
  • the Physical Screening Test (PST)

Punjab Police SI Written test 2022

The written exam is the first test candidate needs to clear to advance in the next round. The written paper consists of paper 1 and paper 2. The written test is a multiple-choice question-based exam.

The duration of the exam is 4 hours paper 1 carries 400 marks and paper 2 400 marks as well. The questions in the exam are related to General Knowledge, General English, and Communications, Logical Reasoning/ Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude/ Numerical Ability.

After clearing the written test candidates are called for a physical measurement test(PMT).
