The full form of ALP is Assistant Loco Pilot. This exam is administered by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). RRB is a government agency for the recruitment of Group C and Group D non-gazetted civil service and engineering posts in Railways. RRB forms a recruitment policy that monitors the activities and expenditures and keeps tabs on the workforce. It also manages the management information system done by the RRB's.
The RRB ALP is conducted online, with the application process being online as well. It is conducted across three stages of paper, covering Logical reasoning, general intelligence, general awareness, current affairs, mathematics, general science and engineering.
Each year, the exam conducting authority announces RRB ALP related notifications on its official website. RRB ALP notification will be released soon.
As per the previous trends, the notification is expected at the end of the first quarter of 2022. The RRB ALP application begins soon after the notification and continues for at least 20 days.
The application form for the RRB ALP exam is to be filled online, as is the exam which will be conducted online through computer mode. All the important details are available online, where students can fill the form, submit the fee and register themselves for the paper.
Here’s how eligible candidates can fill the application form.
Step 1: Open your regional website of RRB and select the post for which you are going to apply.
Step 2: At the website, click on the notification of the RRB ALP 2022.
Step 3: Register yourself for the exam at RRB’s regional website.
Step 4: For registration, open the page and fill in your basic details, for example, your name, your parent’s name, contact information, mail-id etc.
Step 5: As you hit submit, you will receive an OTP. Kindly process it.
Step 6: After the OTP is validated, process the generated mail for login credentials.
Step 7: Log in with the credentials and provide the details asked by the application.
Step 8: Pay the required amount. Failure to pay the amount will lead to the rejection of your application.
Step 9: Download the copy of the application and take out a hard copy. Save it for further use.

Candidates who have completed their matriculation/SSLC along with an apprentice course/ITI are eligible for the exam. A 10+2 mark sheet with Physics and Maths as the main subject is also acceptable. Candidates with a diploma in engineering are also eligible for the post.
Candidates who have completed their SSLC/Matriculation along with any apprentice course or a diploma in engineering are eligible for the post.
Candidates who will be applying for the RRB ALP 2022 Exam must pay the fee either offline or online. One can make the online fee payment through internet banking or debit/credit cards while offline payment can be made through SBI or Post Office Challan.
