Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates who desire to apply for RRB JE 2022 will have to fulfill the RRB JE eligibility criteriaThe basic eligibility criteria for RRB JE 2022 have been given below.

RRB JE Eligibility: Age Limit

Candidates must fulfill the following age limit criteria to apply for the post of RRB JE.

  • The minimum or a lower age limit to apply for the post is 18 years, whereas the maximum or upper age limit is 33 years.

RRB JE Age Limit Relaxations

The category-wise age relaxation provided by the Railway Recruitment Board is given below. The upper age limit is given below.

RRB JE Eligibility: Educational Qualification

The education qualifications for RRB Junior Engineer, Junior Engineer (IT), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) are given in the below table.

Candidates who are in the final year of their degree/diploma are not eligible to apply for RRB JE 2022 examination.

Exam Pattern

The first phase of the examination will be a Computer-based Test. The total duration for the examination is 1 hour 30 minutes. Students who will qualify for the first phase will appear in CBT-II. Here is the complete RRB JE Exam pattern:

RRB JE CBT-II Exam Pttern

The subjects asked in the Computer Based Test II are General Knowledge, Physics and Chemistry, Basics of Computers & Application, Basics of Environmental & Pollution Control, and Technical Abilities.

  • There will be a total of 150 questions
  • The time duration of the examination is 120 minutes
  • The total marks for CBT-II will be 150 marks
