The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts this exam periodically to fill the vacancies that have been opened for the Senior Sectional Engineer (SSE) post. With a tentative vacancy number of over 4000
The written exam, medical examination, and document verification round are the three selection steps for completing the recruitment process. Candidates must be aware of the changes that are put, if any, by the RRB due to the ongoing difficulties put forth by the covid pandemic.
Latest Notification
Applications for the RRB SSE examination will be released online on the official website of RRB. Candidates can visit the website to register online for the RRB SSE Examination.
Registration
The official notification for RRB SSE 2022 has not been released by the Railway Recruitment Board yet. The candidates will have to fill out the application forms online before the last date. To apply for the position online, the candidate should follow the steps outlined below.
- Enter indianrailways.gov.in into your browser to access the RRB's official website.
- On the homepage, click the "RRB Senior Section Engineer (SSE) Application 2022, Apply Now" link.
- Select the New Registration option.
- Enter all of your personal information.
- A website will create a new registration ID and password for you.
- Log in using your ID and password.
- Fill out the form with all of your educational qualification information.
- Upload the necessary documents, photographs, and signatures.
- Pay the fee via Internet banking, a credit card, or a debit card, for example.
- Following the completion of the payment process.
- Then, press the Submit Button.
- Save a copy of the application for future reference.
RRB SSE Exam List of Documents 2022
- Passport size photograph.
- Photo ID: Aadhar Card or Pan Card.
- Educational Qualification Certificates: Marksheets of class 10th, 12th, and graduation.
Eligibility Criteria

RRB SSE Exam Age Limit 2022
Candidates who desire to apply for RRB SSE 2022 will have to fulfill the RRB SSE eligibility criteria. The candidate's age as of the specified date should be between 20 and 34 years. However, age relaxation is there. The details are given below-

- Senior Section Engineer – P-Way, Bridge, Drawing (Civil) & Design & Estimation, TMS
- A Four-year Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a combination of any substream of the Basic streams of Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution is required.
- Mechanical Section Engineer – (Workshop), Carriage & Wagon, Dsl Mechanical, Dsl Electrical, J&T (Jig & Tools), Mechanical Drawing & Design
- A Four-year Bachelor's Degree in

RRB SSE Exam Nationality 2022
To be eligible to apply for the RRB Senior Section Engineer position, candidates must be an Indian national.
RRB SSE Exam Experience Requirements 2022
The Railway Recruitment Board did not mention whether or not prior job experience was required to apply for the position. This year, no experience is expected to be required to apply for the post. To participate in the recruitment process, a bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering topic is required, but no prior job experience is required.
Other important eligibility/requirement points:
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD) shall be regarded eligible for condition relaxation if they have at least 40% of the relevant disability. To be eligible for the benefit of relaxation, individuals must present a disability certificate issued by the appropriate authority.
- Candidates applying for reserved positions (OBC/SC/ST) or requesting age relaxation must present a caste certificate issued by the relevant authorities in the approved manner.
Application Fee
The application fee for the RRB SSE test varies depending on the candidate's category; for example, General and OBC candidates must pay a charge of 100, but SC/ST, female, and PWD candidates are exempt from any application fee.
Exam Pattern
The test consists of one paper with approximately 150 objective-type questions. For each question, there will be four options. General intelligence, General awareness, Arithmetic, and Technical topic-based questions are there. The duration will be 2 hours.
The question paper will be in English and Hindi both, making the RRB SSE/JE exam paper multilingual. The candidate has the option of selecting one of the two languages.
