About
SSC CGL Stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination. It is conducted nationwide to recruit graduates for Ministries, the Department of Indian Government, and Subordinate Offices. SSC CGL is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for different Group B and Group C posts.
Latest Notification
The Staff Selection Commission may soon announce the results of SSC CGL Tier-1. Once the result is released, all the candidates will be able to check their results by visiting the official website of the Staff Selection Commission, SSC CGL Tier 1 2022 provisional answer key has been released on May 02, 2022.
Registration
Step 1: SSC CGL Online Registration
- Visit the official website – ssc.nic.in.
- Click on “Apply” and then on “CGL”.
- Enter your Aadhaar Number, Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
- Enter the OTPs received on your mobile number and email ID and click on ‘Submit’.
- Your registration number and password will be sent to you via SMS and e-mail.
Step 2: Upload Scanned Photograph and Signature
- Upload scanned images of your photograph (not more than three months old from the date of publication of the notice of the SSC CGL exam) and signature in the prescribed guidelines.

In addition, the date of clicking the photograph should be clearly printed on the photograph, otherwise, the applications would be rejected. Apart from that, the applications with blurred pictures would also be rejected. Likewise, those with illegible signatures will also be canceled.
Step 3: Fill SSC CGL Application Form
- Next, fill in your personal, contact, and educational details.
- Enter your gender, category, nationality, name of the university, roll number, year of passing, marks, and other information.
- Choose 3 exam centres in the same region in order of your preference.
- Select whether you are applying for the post of Junior Statistical Officer or Statistical Investigator Grade-II.
- Read the declaration, check on “I Agree”, fill the captcha code, and submit the form to proceed to fee payment.
Step 4: Pay SSC CGL Application Fees
- The last step in the application process is to pay the SSC CGL application fee.
- The application fee is INR 100. Women, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and PwD candidates do not have to pay any application fees.
- It can be paid in both online and offline modes.
- For offline payment: Generate the offline challan from the website and pay the fees in cash at any SBI Bank branch along with the challan.
- For online payment: Choose the preferred payment method amongst BHIM UPI, Netbanking, Debit card, or Credit Card, and enter the banking details in the payment gateway to pay the fees.
- If the application fees are not successfully deposited with SSC, the status of the application form is displayed as ‘Incomplete’ at the top of the printout of the same.
- Candidates can also check the status of payment of fees by clicking on the ‘Payment Status’ link on the login page.
- The application fee, once paid, will not be refunded or adjusted against any other examination under any circumstances.

SSC CGL Age Limit 2022- Post-wise
The post-wise SSC CGL age limit for the exam is given below in the table.
- Aspirants applying for SSC CGL must not be less than 18 years and cannot be more than 32 years of age (as of August 1, 2022).
- The lower and upper limit of age varies for each post.
- The age of candidates as mentioned in the 10th/12th certificate will be considered.

SSC CGL Age Relaxation
SSC offers a provision of age relaxation for candidates from all reserved categories. Candidates must keep in mind the age limit before filling out the SSC CGL Application Form. Relaxation of the upper age limit for the various categories is shown in the table below.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2022: Nationality
SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria as per nationality mandates a candidate to be a resident of the prescribed countries only. An applicant must fulfill any one of the following conditions.
- The aspirant must be an Indian citizen.
- The candidates can be a subject of Nepal/Bhutan.
- The aspirants are allowed to be Tibetan refugees who moved to India, before 1962, with the intention of settling down permanently in India.
- The applicant must be of Indian Origin and has moved to India from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, or East African Countries like Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly known as Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam with the intention of settling down permanently in India.
SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2022: Educational Qualification
Candidates must check the SSC exam qualification details for the post. To appear in the exam, the aspirants should complete their graduation from any renowned Institution/ University. More specifically, a Bachelor’s degree in any program is eligible to appear for the entrance test. Apart from this, the candidates should study either in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics as an elective subject or as a compulsory subject.
There are some desirable qualifications too mentioned for certain posts. The candidates having them will be given preference. All the academic requirements corresponding to the different posts are given below.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized university or institute. They must have studied Statistics as one of the subjects for all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.
with at least 60% in Mathematics at Higher Secondary (12th or equivalent) level or any bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute with statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute
Desirable Qualification: Cost & Management Accountant/ Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies/ Masters in Business Administration (Finance)/ Masters in Business Economics.
The selected candidates will be under probation. During the period of probation, they will have to take and clear the ‘Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination’ in their respective branches for the confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
Compiler Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or institution. Additionally, candidates must have studied either Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory or elective subject.
Assistant Section Officer Posts
Basic Qualification: The applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualification: In addition to the basic Undergraduate Degree, candidates must also qualify in the Computer Proficiency Test.
Junior Statistical Officer Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates can have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute. They must have scored at least 60% marks in Mathematics in Class 12 or equivalent.
OR
They can have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) Posts
Basic Qualification: The applying candidates shall have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University Institute.
Desirable Qualification: A degree in law from a recognized university.
Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Posts
Basic Qualifications: All the candidates shall have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: 1. Experience of at least 1 year in research in any recognized university or research institute.
- A degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university.
All Other SSC CGL Posts
Basic Qualifications: The applying candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
OR
They must have an equivalent qualification (relevant to the post) from a recognized university or institution.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2022
SSC CGL Tier 1 is a qualifying level exam conducted in online mode. The necessary details for SSC CGL Tier 1 exam are given below.
- The questions will be available in both English and Hindi (except for the English Language section).
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2022
SSC CGL Tier 2 is conducted in online mode. Only those candidates who qualify Tier 1 exam can appear for the Tier 2 exam.
- There are four papers and the questions are of MCQ type.
- The question papers, except for English Language and Comprehension, will be set in both English and Hindi languages.
- Paper-II i.e. English Language and Comprehension paper will have a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Rest of the three papers i.e. Paper I, III, and IV (Quantitative Abilities, Statistics, General Studies) will have 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Paper I and II are compulsory for all the posts.
- Paper III is only for the candidates who have applied for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade II in the office of Registrar General of India (Ministry of Home Affairs).
- Paper IV is only for those candidates who have applied for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer or Assistant Accounts Officer.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2022: Educational Qualification
Candidates must check the SSC exam qualification details for the post. To appear in the exam, the aspirants should complete their graduation from any renowned Institution/ University. More specifically, a Bachelor’s degree in any program is eligible to appear for the entrance test. Apart from this, the candidates should study either in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics as an elective subject or as a compulsory subject.
There are some desirable qualifications too mentioned for certain posts. The candidates having them will be given preference. All the academic requirements corresponding to the different posts are given below.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized university or institute. They must have studied Statistics as one of the subjects for all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.
with at least 60% in Mathematics at Higher Secondary (12th or equivalent) level or any bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute with statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institute
Desirable Qualification: Cost & Management Accountant/ Chartered Accountant/ Company Secretary/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies/ Masters in Business Administration (Finance)/ Masters in Business Economics.
The selected candidates will be under probation. During the period of probation, they will have to take and clear the ‘Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination’ in their respective branches for the confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
Compiler Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or institution. Additionally, candidates must have studied either Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory or elective subject.
Assistant Section Officer Posts
Basic Qualification: The applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualification: In addition to the basic Undergraduate Degree, candidates must also qualify in the Computer Proficiency Test.
Junior Statistical Officer Posts
Basic Qualification: The candidates can have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute. They must have scored at least 60% marks in Mathematics in Class 12 or equivalent.
OR
They can have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level.
Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) Posts
Basic Qualification: The applying candidates shall have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University Institute.
Desirable Qualification: A degree in law from a recognized university.
Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Posts
Basic Qualifications: All the candidates shall have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: 1. Experience of at least 1 year in research in any recognized university or research institute.
- A degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university.
All Other SSC CGL Posts
Basic Qualifications: The applying candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2022
SSC CGL Tier 1 is a qualifying level exam conducted in online mode. The necessary details for SSC CGL Tier 1 exam are given below.
- The questions will be available in both English and Hindi (except for the English Language section).
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2022
SSC CGL Tier 2 is conducted in online mode. Only those candidates who qualify Tier 1 exam can appear for the Tier 2 exam.
- There are four papers and the questions are of MCQ type.
- The question papers, except for English Language and Comprehension, will be set in both English and Hindi languages.
- Paper-II i.e. English Language and Comprehension paper will have a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Rest of the three papers i.e. Paper I, III, and IV (Quantitative Abilities, Statistics, General Studies) will have 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
- Paper I and II are compulsory for all the posts.
- Paper III is only for the candidates who have applied for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade II in the office of Registrar General of India (Ministry of Home Affairs).
- Paper IV is only for those candidates who have applied for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer or Assistant Accounts Officer.
