SSC GD is the department that is responsible for recruiting candidates for Constable and Riflemen posts. The full form of SSC GD is Staff Selection Commission General Duty.
SSC GD Notification 2022 will tentatively release on February 22, 2023. It will contain detailed information about eligibility, exam dates, and vacancies. In 2021, the Commission announced a vacancy of 25,271 posts. A similar number of vacancies can be expected this year.
For the post of general duty constable, the basic eligibility criteria include educational qualification and age limit. The detailed SSC GD eligibility criteria have been mentioned below :

The candidates who clear the PST will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. In this stage, both the male and female candidates will be put to a test. The board will test if they’re fit enough for the post by conducting a running race. The details of the test are as follows.

The candidates who qualify the PST PMT will be called up for the medical test. The candidates who fail the medical test will not be considered eligible for the post. The document verification of candidates will also be done in this stage. Once the candidates are declared clear, they will be considered eligible for the post. The candidates must be having complete knowledge by now on the SSC GD Constable Syllabus and Exam Pattern. Candidates should make sure to prepare themselves according to the syllabus and exam pattern as given above to stand ahead in the competition.
