For the candidates applying for Grade C, the age should be between 18 to 30 years.
For Grade D, the age of the candidate must be between 18 to 27 years. The date of birth will be considered as per the High-school or equivalent documents.
The candidates from reserved categories are offered age relaxation in the upper age limit as tabulated below:

Educational Qualifications :
- The candidate must have passed the 10+2 (Class XII) level of schooling/HSC or its equivalent degree from a recognized University or Board.
- The candidates who are declared qualified in the Computer Based Examination and the Skill Test will be required to produce all the relevant certificates in original such as Marksheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of 12th standard or equivalent examination as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification.
A candidate must have any one of the following nationalities:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who sought asylum in India before January 1, 1962.
- A person of Indian origin who has transferred from one of the following countries: Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, etc.
