ANCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Anna University once every year for admission to post-graduate M.E, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan, programs offered by more than 200 colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Latest Notification

TANCET 2022: Anna University released the result in online mode on June 9, 2022. To check the result, candidates have to visit the official website- annauniv.edu, and log in with their email id and password. TANCET 2022 Result mentions the candidate's personal details, roll number, rank obtained, marks secured, and other details. TANCET 2022 Scorecard will be released after 10 days of the result declaration.

Registration

andidates can submit TANCET 2022 application form online on the official website of TANCET- The application form is expected to be made available soon. The application fees for either of the programs like MBA/MCA/ M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M. The plan is INR 800 (400 for reserved category candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu). Candidates registering for more than one program are required to pay an additional INR 600 (300 for reserved category candidates)

Steps for TANCET 2022 Registration

Visit the official website of TANCET-
Click on New Registration for TANCET 2022.
After entering all the required details, candidates will be provided with a Registration number which is to be used for all further purposes for TANCET 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as per the official guidelines in order to be eligible for TANCET 2022. Candidates must successfully complete a bachelor's degree with at least 50% in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved category)

Application Fee

The counseling fees for general candidates in INR 300 (INR 150 for reserved category candidates).

Exam Pattern

TANCET 2022 Exam Pattern consists of 100 multiple choice questions to be attempted in a duration of 2 hours. One mark is awarded for each correct answer while ⅓ will be deducted for each wrong answer. The examination is conducted in English and Tamil language.

The total number of questions for MBA/MCA courses is 100 while for M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/M. Plan is 105.
If candidates have shaded more than one option then it will be considered a wrong answer and ⅓ will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Counselling

TANCET 2022 Counselling will commence soon after the declaration of the result in May 2022. It will be conducted in four stages:

Online Registration- Candidates need to register for TANCET 2022 Counselling on the official portal of anna university. The counseling fees for general candidates in INR 300 (INR 150 for reserved category candidates).
Merit List- The merit list will be released based on the TANCET 2022 score. On the basis of the merit list, candidates will be called for further rounds of counseling
Candidates who successfully register will be issued a call letter. It will include the candidate’s name, counseling center, and registration number.
After the final round of counseling, candidates can confirm their admission by payment of the admission fees.
