Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as per the official guidelines in order to be eligible for TANCET 2022. Candidates must successfully complete a bachelor's degree with at least 50% in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved category)

MBA Bachelor's degree in any discipline (with a minimum of 50% marks ( 45% for reserved categories)
MCA Bachelor's degree in BCA or B.Sc or any other bachelor's degree with mathematics in 10+2 or Graduation
M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/M.Plan Bachelor's degree in B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch or B.Pharm or Masters degree in Science/Arts
Exam Pattern

TANCET 2022 Exam Pattern consists of 100 multiple choice questions to be attempted in a duration of 2 hours. One mark is awarded for each correct answer while ⅓ will be deducted for each wrong answer. The examination is conducted in English and Tamil language.

  • The total number of questions for MBA/MCA courses is 100 while for M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/M. Plan is 105.
  • If candidates have shaded more than one option then it will be considered a wrong answer and ⅓ will be deducted for each wrong answer.

TANCET 2022 Counselling will commence soon after the declaration of the result in May 2022. It will be conducted in four stages:

  • Online Registration- Candidates need to register for TANCET 2022 Counselling on the official portal of anna university. The counseling fees for general candidates in INR 300 (INR 150 for reserved category candidates).
  • Merit List- The merit list will be released based on the TANCET 2022 score. On the basis of the merit list, candidates will be called for further rounds of counseling
  • Candidates who successfully register will be issued a call letter. It will include the candidate’s name, counseling center, and registration number.
  • After the final round of counseling, candidates can confirm their admission by payment of the admission fees.
