Eligibilty Criteria

The TNPSC Research Assistant Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2022 has yet to be announced by the TNPSC. Candidates can use the eligibility requirements from the previous year, 2021, until the official notice is released and there is a slight chance of any changes to the eligibility requirements. Applicants may rely on last year's data. To take the TNPSC Research Assistant exam, candidates must meet the qualifying requirements. The qualifying requirements are as follows:

TNPSC Research Assistant Educational Qualification Requirement 2022

Candidates aspiring to become Researchers upon the qualification of the TNPSC Research Assistant Examination should possess the following educational qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a post-graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Agricultural Economics, or Public Administration with a first-class ranking.
  • Applicants must have adequate knowledge of Tamil.
  • Applicants claiming equivalence of qualification to the specified qualification must upload and provide documentation in the form of a Government Order issued on or before the date of this announcement when requested, failing which, their application will be summarily rejected.

TNPSC Research Assistant Age Eligibility Criteria 2022

There are specific age eligibility criteria for the TNPSC Research Assistant Recruitment under the state-level job. Candidates can check their age eligibility from the following table:

TNPSC also provides age concession to the following category people:

Age Concessions
People with Benchmark Disability: Persons with a Benchmark Disability are eligible for an age reduction of up to ten years.
For Ex-servicemen: Ex-servicemen have a maximum age limit of 50 years. Applicants who have previously been recruited to any class, service, or category will not be eligible for the above-mentioned age concession.

TNPSC Research Assistant Physical Fitness Eligibility Criteria 2022

Applicants who are selected for the post will be required to present a certificate of physical fitness in the TNPSC format. The selected candidate must present the certificate to the Appointing Authority at the time of joining the said job. The following is the fitness eligibility requirement for the job:

Standard of Vision Prescribed Standard III or Better Color Blindness will be a disqualification.
Form of Certificate of Physical Fitness The form is prescribed for other than Executive and Ministerial posts.
