Eligibilty Criteria

TS PGLCET 2022 eligibility which is set by the conducting body must be met by applicants to apply for TS PGLCET 2022 Exam. If the candidate is found to undermine the specified criteria then their candidature will be canceled by the conducting body immediately.

  • The applicant should have completed 3 year LLB program from any recognized university with 50% aggregate marks.
  • The candidates who are appearing in their final years are also eligible for TS PGLCET 2022 application.
  • Applicants applying for TS PGLCET 2022 must have a minimum experience of 3-years as a judicial officer or 3-years standing as an advocate on the day of the exam.
  • There is no specific age limit which is defined by the university for the candidate appearing for TS PGLCET 2022.
  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Exam Pattern
  1. As per TS PGLCET 2022 Exam Pattern, applicants will be asked a total of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions, with a duration of 90 minutes.
  2. Applicants will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer. There are no negative markings for the exam.
  3. TS PGLCET Exam will be conducted in English and Telugu.
  • TS PGLCET 2022 Syllabus is set by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
  • TS PGLCET Syllabus will include 2 parts that comprise various law subjects such as Jurisprudence, Constitutional law, Crimes and Torts, Mercantile law, Public International law, Labour laws, IPR, and other laws.
  • TS PGLCET will test the applicants’ knowledge of the law at the graduate level.

TS PGLCET 2022 Part A Important Topics

  • Constitutional Law: Center-State Relations, Emergency Provisions, Fundamental Rights, Amendments to the Constitution, Directive Principles of State Policy and Executive Judiciary & Legislature
  • Jurisprudence: Ownership and Possession, Schools of Jurisprudence, Sources of Law, Persons, Property, Obligation, Liability, Legal Sanctions, Custom Precedent & Legislation and Rights & Duties

TS PGLCET 2022 Part B Important Topics

  • Crimes and Torts: India Penal Code- General Principle and General Exceptions, Joint Liability, Consumer Protection Act 1986, General Principles of Tort, State Liability for Torts and Defenses
  • Labor Law: Industrial Disputes Act 1947 and Trade Union Act 1926
  • Mercantile Law: General Principles of Contract (Sections 1-75, Indian Contract Act-1872)
  • Public International Law: Nationality and Statelessness, State Jurisdiction, International Law & Municipal Law, Subjects of International Law, Air, Sea and Outer Space, Extradition, Asylum, State Territory and United Nations
  • IPR and Other Laws: Copyright Act 1957, Patents Act 1970, Right to Information Act 2005, Human Rights, The Protection Of Human Rights Act 1993, Environment (Protection) Act 1986 and Salient features of Information Technology Act 2000

The candidate should be concerned with the following topics and their concepts to get detailed knowledge about the question. It is always advised to practice mock tests which will come in handy at the time of preparation.


TS PGLCET 2022 Counselling is likely to begin in the 1st week of November, 2022. Only those applicants who have been shortlisted in the TS PGLCET 2022 Merit List will be eligible for the counselling process.

  1. Candidates will have to visit the counselling center for document verification while carrying their original documents and counselling fees.
  2. Soon after the document verification process, applicants will be able to exercise web-option entry by logging in to the admissions portal using their TS PGLCET hall ticket number and rank.
  3. Applicants should select their preferred choice of college from a list of colleges on the official website.
  4. After exercising web options, TS PGLCET 2022 Seat Allotment will take place on the basis of the ranks acquired by the candidates in the merit list and the availability of the seats..
  5. After the seats are allotted, applicants are required to report to their allotted colleges to complete the counselling process.

TS PGLCET 2022 Counselling Fees

The fee varies for different categories as follows:

  • For General Category – INR 500
  • For SC/ST Category – INR 250
