Every year, the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) holds a written exam for positions of Post Graduate Teachers and Trained Graduate Teachers in the state.
Latest Notification
The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) is expected to release the RRB ASM notification in May in the respective year of the examination. The official notification of the UP PGT 2022 is expected to be released soon on the official website. Also, candidates can download UPTET official notification here.
The UP PGT notification is an important document that makes candidates aware of the examination process and the registration process. The notification carries important information regarding the UP PGT Exam including exam dates, exam pattern, syllabus, and exam day guidelines.
Registration
The candidates are advised to apply for the examination only after checking all the details regarding the eligibility criteria. Candidates must fill out and submit the UP PGT application form via online mode to appear in the exam. UP PGT will not accept other modes of application submission. Candidates can follow the following steps to fill out the application form for the UP PGT exam.
- Visit the Official Website.
- Look for the notification displaying ‘Click here to apply for UP PGT 2022’ and click on it.
- Fill in all the required information in the application and candidates need to upload the scanned images of their signature and a passport-sized photograph.
- Check the filled details and proceed to payment.
- Candidates can pay their application fee either online using a debit/credit card /net banking facility.
- Now click on the final submit and save your application.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for UP PGT to appear for the exam. The UP PGT Eligibility Criteria 2022 has not been released yet. Till the release of the official notification, candidates can follow the eligibility criteria of the last year i.e., 2021. However, Not many changes are expected in the eligibility criteria so candidates can follow last year's data for the same.
Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for UP PGT to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria have two components:
UP PGT Age Limit
Minimum Age: The applicant must be of 21 years. Further details about UP PGT Eligibility, Age Limit, and Age Relaxation 2022 will be available once the official notification is released.
UP PGT Educational Qualifications
Candidates aspiring to become teachers upon the qualification of the UP PGT Examination should possess the following educational qualifications.
- Candidates who are willing to apply for UP PGT 2022 recruitment should have completed their education from any recognized central/state-based university/institution.
- All applicants must have completed higher secondary education as this carries 5% of the weightage of the marks allotted for the post.
- B. Ed or M. Ed degree is mandatory for all the candidates applying for the UP PGT Recruitment 2022.
- M.A in English / Physics / Hindi / Chemistry / Mathematics/ Economics / History / Geography / Commerce / Biology / Physics and other relevant subjects.

Exam Pattern
The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) will conduct an exam for UP PGT posts. Written test, Interview, and the Special qualification round. The written exam shall be conducted in the online mode for the post. Candidates also can check the CTET Exam Pattern here.
The written test will consist of questions related to the respective subject for which the candidate has applied. The interview round will have a question on General Knowledge, Personality test, and Expressiveness. The special qualification round is for Doctorate Degree, M. Ed, B. Ed, National Level Sports Participation, etc.
