Crescent School of Business, (CSB) is a new, re-imagined Management and Business school in Chennai, offering world-class education to some of the brightest young minds in the country.
Businesses of today require creative and strategic leadership, for they operate in an environment characterized by an accelerated pace of innovation, advancements in communication technology and a greater degree of social connectedness. This has resulted in a layered, complex and non-traditional setting, with multiple stakeholders, within which business leaders need to work, excel and succeed.
Modern business education needs to accurately reflect this. Crescent School of Business has been built with this philosophy and it aspires to create a class of strategic leaders who will drive businesses in the New Economy. Students of CSB go through a student centric Customised Management Programme(CMP) blending experiential learning, critical thinking, industry integration and academic instruction led by experienced academic and practitioner faculty.
CSB is part of the UGC recognised BSA Crescent Institute of Science & Technology (Deemed to be University), located on GST Road at Vandalur, Chennai.

Industrial attachment program for students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Samarahan Campus, Sarawak, Malaysia. Four students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Samarahan Campus,, Sarawak, Malaysia has done research internship at school of life sciences between 1st August to 4th September 2015 on phytocompounds and their applications to cure infections and cancer.
From May 4-22, 2015 B.S.Abdur Rahman Institute organized free SummerInternship in Science programme for School Students. Out of 30 selected students from various schools , 11 students were done their projects at SLS and the ist, 2nd and third prizes are bagged by Ms. Santhoshini, Mr. Mothi and Ms. Divya lakshmi respectively and the projects are listed in the table below.

B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, “A Research Intensive Institution” lays greater emphasis on academics and research in its endeavor to become a premier institute contributing to the Scientific and Technological development of our Country
The Institute has a well-established administrative structure to ensure quality research with various committees, namely, Research Advisory Committee (RAC), Research Board, R&D council and Research Team
Research Advisory Committee (RAC), comprising eminent researchers in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology, which gives directions to the overall research activities of the Institution
Under the guidance of the RAC, Research Board formulates the overall research policies and thrust areas. The Deans of all the schools in the Institute are the members
In addition, each school has a research and development (R&D) council to initiate and monitor the research activities of the department
Research Team prepares the project proposals for the government funding agencies. It also motivates and helps the other faculty members in the preparation of proposals
The annual budget of the departments includes the fund required to procure the equipment, software and seed money for faculty members to carry out research
There are 66 BSA Research Fellowships (JRF / SRF) available in all the Departments, to lure bright youngsters to take up research activities on full time basis.“Earn while you learn scheme” for full time research scholars is also available
Research starts with an idea and an idea to various innovations. The Centre for Innovation,APJ Abdul Kalam Innovation Centre now became CIIC is working closely with Research Team to transform the research towards Entrepreneurship, Patents and Startups
