About
Lady Irwin College is a women's college located in New Delhi, India. It is a constituent college of the University of Delhi and offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in home science, education, and science.The college was founded in 1932 by Lady Irwin, the wife of Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India. It was originally known as the Lady Irwin College of Home Science and was the first institution in India to offer a degree in home science. The college was renamed Lady Irwin College in 1968.
The college has a sprawling campus of 10 acres in the North Campus of the University of Delhi. The campus has well-maintained buildings, lush green lawns, and a variety of facilities, including a library, a computer center, a hostel, and a canteen.
