The National Institute of Fashion Technology, NIFT Delhi was established in 1986 and is the premier institution for fashion and design education in India. It offers highly sought-after undergraduate and postgraduate programs in creative design and apparel technologies. The popular courses offered at NIFT Delhi include B.Des., B.F.Tech, M.Des., M.F.M., and M.F.Tech. Admission to all regular academic programs is strictly based on the national-level NIFT Entrance Examination matrix (consisting of the General Ability Test and Creative Ability Test), followed by Situation Tests, Studio Tests, or Group Discussions and Personal Interviews (GD/PI) depending on the specialization.

NIFT centralized e-Counselling 2026 is currently active across all campuses for UG and PG design programs. Following the closure of the mandatory document upload phase and choice locking window on June 26, the Round 1 seat allotment results have been officially published on June 27, 2026. Shortlisted candidates must now log into the unified allocation portal (nift.admissions.nic.in) to submit their choice willingness (Freeze or Float) and process the seat acceptance fee online before July 1, 2026. Missing this timeline will result in automatic seat forfeiture.
