Praxis Business School is a premier institution with campuses in Kolkata and Bangalore. It is ranked 2nd in Kolkata and 4th in East India for PGDM by Times Annual B School survey 2022. The institution was established in 2007 and has been the pioneer in Data Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering in India. Praxis Business School offers PG Diploma courses in the disciplines of Management, Data Engineering, Cyber Security and Data Science. The flagship program of Praxis Business School is the 2 year PGDM course across 4 specializations along with Industry-focused super specializations in 7 subjects. Apart from this, PBS also offers a 9 months PG Program in Data Engineering, 9 months PG Program in Cyber Security (PGPCS) and 6 months PG Program in Data Engineering.

Training & Internships
Praxis Business School provides paid internships as well. Major internships come from ICICI Bank, Tata Metaliks, Indusnet Technologies, Dabur, Kantar etc. The average stipend is 6-10k per month while Tata Metaliks provided internship of 75k for two months.
Industry Projects
The capstone of the MEng degree is group industry project in a manufacturing company. During the Spring semester students start meeting with with the company and their thesis advisor to identity the problem or opportunity to pursue, the project scope and expected deliverables. These meeting are usually weekly in-persoon or through video calls. Then in the summer, starting in mid-May and goiung through mid-August students work on the company project full time. These projects – done in groups of three students per site – form the basis of the thesis portion of the degree. Students work on-site under the supervision of an MIT faculty member typically solving near-term problems for their company.
A number of companies propose the projects in late fall and a selection process matches students with their project and MIT faculty advisors. Students begin their initial work at each company site in January followed by once-weekly meetings during the spring semester. From late May until mid-August the groups work on-site full-time to complete their projects. Students document his or her full contribution to the project thesis, which is submitted to their MIT advisor for approval.

The Praxis Scholarships are divided into 3 categories:
- Director’s Merit List – 8 scholarships
- Praxis Business School Foundation Scholarships – 8 scholarships
- Women in Tech Scholarships – Applicable for all Women aspirants fulfilling the scholarship criteria
The total amount of scholarships on offer:
Up to INR 40 Lakhs for Director’s Merit List and Praxis Business School Foundation Scholarships
INR 1 Lakh for each women aspirant fulfilling the criteria for the Women in Tech Scholarship

All students who meet the criteria for the scholarships can apply for the same.
- A student can apply to a scholarship under a single category at the time of admission
The performance of the Scholars will be monitored closely for the renewal of the Scholarship every year*. - Students need to maintain a minimum CQPI every trimester to be eligible for continuing with the scholarship*.
- The decision of Praxis Business School is final and binding in case of awarding the scholarships.

Placement
Praxis Business School or shortly known as PBS is situated at Kolkata, West Bengal. During the 2023 placement drive, the highest salary offered was INR 17.60 LPA. PGDM students received an average salary of INR 9.46 LPA, PGPDS students received an average salary of INR 12.85 LPA & PGPDE students received an average salary of INR 13.14 LPA.
During Praxis Business School Placements 2022, the PGDM batch achieved the highest salary of INR 13.50 LPA. The average salary stood at INR 7.82 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are ICICI Bank, Hindware, Kantar, LG, Jaro Education, HSBC etc.
During Praxis Business School Placements 2021, the highest CTC of INR 20 LPA was offered to the PGP Data Science students. The PGDM students received the highest CTC package of INR 10.5 LPA during the placement drive. The average CTC package stood at INR 7.20 LPA for the PGDM students & INR 9.19 LPA for the PGP Data Science students.

Dr. Prithwis Mukherjee is presently serving as the Director at Praxis Business School, Kolkata. With Masters and PhD in Management Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, USA, he has a rich experience in Business Management and Academic Administration. Moreover, Dr. Mukherjee has been directly involved in the design, development and deployment of complex software applications for Indian and global companies like Tata Steel, Tata IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Global Services.
Dr. Sayantani Roy Choudhury is an associate professor at Praxis Business School. She is also a visiting faculty at IIM Udaipur. She is also a visiting professor at New York University and Assistant Professor at Amity University. She obtained her B.Sc in Economics, M.Sc in Economics and Quantitative Economics, and her M.Phil. degree in the area of Gender Economics. She has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, and Ph.D. in the field of Economics. She is an Educational Leader and has great Teaching experience. She has won Best Data Science Faculty Award in the Female Category.
