Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE) is private unaided institution that was established in the year 1996. The institute offers eight undergraduate engineering programmes of four year duration namely Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Production Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bio-Technology. Six engineering departments are offering post-graduate programs. The department of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering are recognized Ph.D. Research Centre by University of Pune. The institute also offers a post-graduate program leading to MBA degree. It has a total under-graduate and post-graduate enrollment of 1200 and 338 students respectively. There are 126 students registered for Ph.D. with this research center. All the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to University of Pune.

Scholarships
The college helps the students to avail different scholarships and free ships given by the University, State and Central Governments .Some of admitted students receive scholarships / free ships under the scheme of Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship on the basis of categories SC/ST scholarship for BBA & BBA (CA) students and SC/ST, OBC scholarship for B.COM students. Information of all types of scholarships is provided to students regularly in the office. The disbursement of the scholarships and free ships has been done promptly as soon as the amounts are received by Samaj Kalyan department and Tribal development. College follows the norms laid down by government regarding the scholarship to SC & ST category students. Scholarship is given to SC & ST students of BBA, BBA (CA) and for B. Com course scholarship is given to SC/ST, OBC and Minority students.
Techtonic is the Technical Fest of Sinhgad Technical Education Society organized by students of Third Year Engineering every year. Various colleges under STES participate in this event with one aim: To win the TechKarandak. In Techtonic more than 40,000 students participate every year.It consists of various types of events like technical, fun games, workshops, seminars and much more.
Techtonic has been nurturing talents and giving bounteous opportunities to the young generation.
It has proven to be a gigantic platform for students to acquire expedient traits. This year was no different. Sinhgad College of Engineering under the supervision of Dr.R.S. Kavitkar sailed through challenges and went on to be the winner of TECHKARANDAK this year.
SCOE hosted 62 events in all which consisted of 34 Competitions, 25 ChillZone events, 2 Seminars, 1 Workshop.

The Spoken Tutorial project
The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.
The Spoken Tutorial project is being developed by IIT Bombay for MHRD, Government of India. The Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++, LibreOffice etc. via an easy Video tool - Spoken Tutorials. IIT Bombay conducts software training workshops using spoken tutorials and give certificates to those who pass an online test.

Hostel For Male
The Hostels have self-contained 3-seater, 4-seater rooms with attached toilets, Bathrooms. The students are provided with basic amenities like bed, table, chair, rack, provision for hot water and all other usual fittings like ceiling fan, tube lights, curtains etc. The rooms are spacious, airy. illuminated and the buildings are surrounded by landscape with greenery. The water supply is available for 24 hours. A recreation hall with facilities of games such as carrom, table tennis, etc. is available for the good use of their leisure time. One TV set per block of the hostel has been provided. Daily newspapers are also made available in the common room. The Computer Centre and the Libraries of the Institutes are kept open for the use of the residents of hostels. Besides, the students can avail of the facilities provided in the Sports Centre the Cultural Centre. Wi-fi internet connectivity is also available through out the hostel blocks premises. There is separate NRI block with kitchen dinner room combined with TV, Washing Machine, Kitchenette, Dinning Table, Chairs.

Excellent facilites are provided in the STES, Lonavala to provide the best for the students who live on campus. In the previous year, the highest salary package offered in the CS branch is 33 LPA offered by the Japanese third party. The average salary package offered ranges between 6-7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Mahindra, etc., visit our college for placements. Many companies offered a salary package that ranges from 6-12 LPA. About 50-60% of our students got internships, and about 70-80% of the students got placed here. Top roles like software engineer, full-stack developer, front-end developer, back-end web developers, cybersecurity and many more roles in product-based companies are offered to the students.

Pune: Civil Engineering students demonstrate artistic skills
PUNE: Students from various colleges demonstrated artistic skills with street plays on various issues and solutions related to construction industry. The Builders' Association of India, Pune organised the Abhiyanta Karandak, a street play competition for civil engineering students at the College of Engineering, Pune (COEP).
The street plays were followed by prize distribution ceremony. Sinhgad College of Engineering, Narhe bagged the first prize, JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Tathawade was first runner up, Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering was the second runner up. The theme of the competition was challenges of engineering contracting and importance of civil engineering to the society. Each team had the option of performing for maximum 15 minutes with a team size of 10 students. Consolation prize was given to D.Y Patil College of Engineering. All the teams will
get opportunity to perform during CONSTRO 2020 exhibition to be held between January 16 to 19 at Agriculture College Ground.
Sinhgad Institutes Stallion Motorsport team shines in Formula Student racing in Germany and Austria
Team Stallion Motorsport of Sinhgad Institutes, Pune, is one of the first teams from India to clear the endurance at Hockenheim, Germany as they competed with the best teams in the world, in the Formula Student Germany - FSG 2019. They received a standing ovation on successful completion of the endurance. Focusing on good design, reliability and performance, the group of enthusiastic students from Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Engineering, Vadgaon, Pune, designed and fabricated their open wheel Formula Student style racing car. Sunday 11 August 2019 was reserved entirely for Formula student Endurance of both classes — a grueling 22 KMs test of stamina for both driver and vehicle -with 6 cars racing on the track simultaneously.
The team cleared the technical scrutinising successfully and was promoted to participate in all the dynamic events where the team excelled exceptionally well delivering best skidpad time of 5.66 seconds and acceleration of 4.61 seconds. The team participated in every dynamic event followed by the completion of the final race with competitive timings. Stallion Motorsport of Sinhgad Institutes, Pune was the only Indian team to complete the final race to be ranked 33rd amongst the best 60 teams from all around the world.
There were in all 60 combustion teams, and out of these, in addition to Stallion Motorsport of Sinhgad Institutes, Pune, 4 more were from India, from IIT Delhi, VIT Vellore, DJSCE Mumbai and IITM Chennai. Stallion Motorsport of Sinhgad Institutes, Pune was the only Indian team to complete the endurance race.
