Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE) is private unaided institution that was established in the year 1996. The institute offers eight undergraduate engineering programmes of four year duration namely Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Production Engineering, Civil Engineering, Bio-Technology. Six engineering departments are offering post-graduate programs. The department of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering are recognized Ph.D. Research Centre by University of Pune. The institute also offers a post-graduate program leading to MBA degree. It has a total under-graduate and post-graduate enrollment of 1200 and 338 students respectively. There are 126 students registered for Ph.D. with this research center. All the courses are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to University of Pune.

Singhad College of Engineering has been ranked 78th among engineering colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2021. The institution has also been ranked 6th in Maharashtra by India Today in 2020. SCOE has received various awards in the past, including the "Best Industry Linked Engineering College in India" award by the Engineering Watch Magazine in 2019 and the "Great Place to Study" recognition by SkillTree Knowledge Consortium in 2018.
Training & Internships
All placement activities under Sinhgad Group is done centrally. For Engineering all the 10 colleges have a Central Placement Cell headed by Dean Prof J.N.Pitambare Dy Dean Dr.Jayesh.Minase. Training Placement Officers (TPOs) of all Engineering colleges form a central team at CPC. Savita Sharma is TPO of Sinhgad College of Engineering.
At the centralized training placement cell we always make dedicated efforts to satisfy the student’s aspirations regarding their future career goals. It is our observation that around 20%- 22% students are planning to do their higher education either in India or abroad to help & assist them we organize seminar, lectures for appropriate selection of course, university etc. Around 3% students are thinking to start their own business or support their relatives. Our entrepreneurship cell helps guides them to make them successful.
More than 75% student i.e majority of the students plan for a career in the best corporate and hence we focus on following parameters.

Scholarships
The college helps the students to avail different scholarships and free ships given by the University, State and Central Governments .Some of admitted students receive scholarships / free ships under the scheme of Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship on the basis of categories SC/ST scholarship for BBA & BBA (CA) students and SC/ST, OBC scholarship for B.COM students. Information of all types of scholarships is provided to students regularly in the office. The disbursement of the scholarships and free ships has been done promptly as soon as the amounts are received by Samaj Kalyan department and Tribal development. College follows the norms laid down by government regarding the scholarship to SC & ST category students. Scholarship is given to SC & ST students of BBA, BBA (CA) and for B. Com course scholarship is given to SC/ST, OBC and Minority students.

Techtonic
Techtonic is the Technical Fest of Sinhgad Technical Education Society organized by students of Third Year Engineering every year. Various colleges under STES participate in this event with one aim: To win the TechKarandak. In Techtonic more than 40,000 students participate every year.It consists of various types of events like technical, fun games, workshops, seminars and much more.
- Techtonic has been nurturing talents and giving bounteous opportunities to the young generation.
- It has proven to be a gigantic platform for students to acquire expedient traits. This year was no different. Sinhgad College of Engineering under the supervision of Dr.R.S. Kavitkar sailed through challenges and went on to be the winner of TECHKARANDAK this year.
- SCOE hosted 62 events in all which consisted of 34 Competitions, 25 ChillZone events, 2 Seminars, 1 Workshop.
- Techtonic in SCOE was organized by:
- 24 Student committee Heads.
- 62 Event Coordinating Teachers u u 8 Departmental faculty Coordinators and many volunteers.
- Techtonic 2016 was overlooked by the Institute Coordinator Dr.R.S. Kawitkar.
The Spoken Tutorial project
The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.
The Spoken Tutorial project is being developed by IIT Bombay for MHRD, Government of India. The Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++, LibreOffice etc. via an easy Video tool - Spoken Tutorials. IIT Bombay conducts software training workshops using spoken tutorials and give certificates to those who pass an online test.

In the previous year, the highest salary package offered in the CS branch is 33 LPA offered by the Japanese third party. The average salary package offered ranges between 6-7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Mahindra, etc., visit our college for placements. Many companies offered a salary package that ranges from 6-12 LPA. About 50-60% of our students got internships, and about 70-80% of the students got placed here. Top roles like software engineer, full-stack developer, front-end developer, back-end web developers, cybersecurity and many more roles in product-based companies are offered to the students.
