Universities being the primary catalysts for the innovation. In all these cases the industry
benefitted from applied research taking place in these Universities across a range of subject
areas, like manufacturing excellence, renewable energy, material science and Big Data.
Moreover, to ensure that these innovations grew into job-creating commercial products and
services, it was important for the Industry and Academia to collaborate throughout the
innovation process. These partnerships were further encouraged by the respective
governments through effective policy making. We need to create and encourage similar
Industry-Academia Partnerships in India.

Industry Projects
Objectives :
The broad objectives of the cell would be as follows:
- To create and maintain database for expertise of the University faculty and facility by getting inputs from respective faculty/departments.
- To explore avenues for industrial consultancy vis a vis expertise of the University faculty.
- To act as a facilitating center in providing assistance for the faculty members of the University in communicating with the external agencies.
- To enter into agreement, sign documents and authenticate records on behalf of the University as authorized by the competent authority.
Avenues of Operation :-
The cell would facilitate to provide revenue generation in following broad ways:
A. Consultancy projects undertaken from core and service sector would include, but not limiting to:

- Projects/ Consultancy work requiring the use of laboratory and other University facilities.

Scholarships
Scholarship 1 :-
- In the scheme of the Technical Education Department, the benefit is available to SC students admitted through Central Counseling only and whose parents/guardians income from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.50 Lacs per annum. In this scheme, only the tuition fee is reimbursable subject to the attainment of 75% attendance in each semester.
- BC students whose parental income is not more than Rs.1,50,000/- per annum will also be provided BC post-Matric Scholarship by the District Welfare Officer, Haryana as per state Govt. Instructions issued from time to time.
Scholarship 2 :-
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for B.Tech. / MCA / MBA students.
15% of the sanctioned strength of B.Tech./MCA/ MBA courses are eligible for grant of Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for B.Tech. / MCA / MBA students @ Rs.750/- p.m.
Performance and attendance standards shall be as per University rules or decided by the competent authority from time to time. (The above scholarships are for candidates belonging to Haryana and admitted through central counseling only).
15% of the sanctioned strength of B.Tech./MCA/ MBA courses are eligible for grant of Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for B.Tech. / MCA / MBA students @ Rs.750/- p.m.

Scholarship 3 :-
MOB scholarship (Merit-cum-Means): The MOB (Alumni of Association of YMCA University) contributed scholarship under the title MOB scholarship (Merit-cum-Means) for the students of PG / UG courses. The notice for this scholarship is issued in the month of February every year.
