- The university has a Training & Placement Cell (T&P Cell) that works continuously throughout the year to prepare students for professional careers by conducting training programmes, skill-development workshops, webinars, and industry interaction sessions to make students interview-ready and professionally competent.
- As part of its academic structure, SRM University ensures that every student undergoes a mandatory industry exposure programme through its internship curriculum, which includes about 7 months of combined internship experience — 2 months after the 4th semester (summer internship) and 5 months after the 7th semester (pre-placement internship), integrating real-world work experience with academic learning.
- The Training & Placement Cell organizes pre-placement training, professional soft skills development, technical aptitude sessions, interview preparation, resume building, and guest lectures from industry experts to enhance employability and workplace readiness across various disciplines.
- Internship opportunities at SRM University expose students to practical industry environments, collaborative work settings, and real applications of their coursework, often leading to full-time employment offers based on performance during internships.
- According to the university’s official annual report, the T&P Cell engages with corporate partners such as Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, IBM, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, and others to conduct internship programs, industry-oriented training modules, skill workshops, industrial visits, and employability workshops that prepare students for job placements and career advancement.
